The Surrender Prayer
Mir Fratama, you are the embodiment of the compassion and blessings of all the heavenly beings and
saints, the protector of beings in Mihr Yazd.
My body, my possessions, my heart and soul, without hesitation I surrender to You through the Great
and Living Spirit!
From now until I attain perfection, in happiness or sorrow, in circumstances good or bad, in situations
high or low: I rely on the perfect teaching that is given to You, as the Right Hand of Lord Mithra.
You who know me: Keep me in Your mind, give me inspiration through the divine presence and power
of your teaching, give me guidance through the Kitab Pak and make me one with You! ”
Hymn to the Third Messenger
“I will bring praise to your Light,
Second Great One, Mir Izgadda,
Beautiful form, radiance,
Judge and observer of all,
Light with a thousand eyes,
Where you set is extinction, and Light is where you arise.
With you lives the Mother of the Righteous.”
The Prayer of Those Who Aspire to Make Known the Call in the World
I sprang up from the land of confusion and stood up in rectitude. I have become a herald to go forth
from the land of darkness, so that I should make the Call known in the world.
I pray to Pitar Fratama, Isha Atish, Matar Jiva, to the Amesha Spentas, namely: Bam, Vohu Mana, Ush ,
Andeshishn, Parmanag: With mercy, forgive my sins.
I ask for continued guidance from the Five Sons of Mihr Yazd, namely: Tzefat Ziwa, Melekh Shubkha,
Adamus Nuhra, Malka Raba d’Ikara, Sabala and from his sixth son, Karia: With mercy, protect and
uphold my path in making the Call known in the world.

(Intelligence), Andeshishn (Thought), Parmanag (Understanding))
Note: The Sons of the Living Spirit remain in the Syriac Aramaic.
Prayer of the Emanations
(Recite quietly) Blessed be he who prays with this prayer often, daily, or for the Hearers at least on the

third day, with a pure heart and forthright speech, asking for forgiveness of sins committed.
(Recite audibly with hands raised, palms facing the Eastern sky) I worship and glorify Pitar
Fratama (the Foremost Father) of lights from pure thought. With a guileless word You have been
glorified and honored: You and Your majesty and Your wholly blessed Yazatas. For You in glory have
perfected their foundation. Your power and glory and Your light and word and Your majesty and the
aeons of affirmation and all Your counsel have been glorified. For You are Zurvan, the foundation of
every grace and life and truth.
(With hands clasped before chest) I honor and glorify all divine beings, all angels, all splendors, all
luminaries, all powers: Those which are from the great and glorious Father, those which subsist in His
holiness, and in His Light are nourished, purified from all darkness and malice and evil.
I honor and glorify the great powers, the enlightened angels: Those having advanced by their own
wisdom and having subjected the darkness and its remorseless powers which were prepared to fight
with the ruler of all; these are those who created heaven and earth and bound in them all the substance
of contempt.
(With hands raised, palms facing the Eastern sky) I worship and glorify the offspring of the
greatness, the enlightening mind, Mihr Izgaddah: the One who came forth from the outer Yazatas into
the upper creation, and from that to this lower creation; and having incomparably announced His
wisdom and the ineffable mysteries to the people on earth, and having displayed to the entire universe
the Way of Truth, and having taught with all voices, and having distinguished truth from the lie and
light from darkness and good from evil and the righteous from the wicked. From You, Mir Izgaddah,
every grace has become known to the universe, and life together with truth to every tribe has been
interpreted with all voices. He Himself became, for the living souls, the Redeemer from the obligation
of the inimical bonds.
(With hands raised, palms facing the Eastern sky, bow head) I worship and glorify Mihr Yazd
(Living Spirit), virtuous and true: the One who by His own power, raised up all things, this
arrangement above and below.
(With hands raised, palms facing the Eastern sky) I honor and glorify the great luminaries, both the
sun and the moon and the virtuous powers in them: Which by wisdom conquer the opponents and
enlighten the entire arrangement, and of all observe and judge the worlds and of all conduct the
virtuous souls into Bahisht.
I honor and glorify the Amesha Spentas: through which the entire universe came into existence, and
through which heaven and earth and through which by participation power and beauty and soul and life
are present in all. And without these the universe could not exist.
I honor and glorify all divine beings, all angels, the living and pure: who support this whole creation
with the permission of the great and virtuous light, who rules over all those now singing these hymns.
(Turn to face West) I honor and glorify all the enlightened angels: who dominate the totality of the
universe, and subject all demons and all evil, shielding righteousness and guarding it from the wicked
demons and growing the good within it.
(Turn face to North) I honor and glorify all the righteous: those who escape from all evil, those who
both have existed before, exist now, are coming into existence and are ready to come into existence
because they have recognized truth and all preeminence; the chaste and firm, in order that all those
whom I have honored and glorified and invoked may assist me and bless me with favor and may
deliver me from every bond and constraint and oppression, and provide me with access to Bahisht
which all the wise and upright in knowledge hope to attain, where peace and the purest of the good

inhabitants are without any need and experience neither death nor corruption.
(Kneel, hands clasped, facing East) Pitar Fratama, I repent now praying to be delivered from
transgression.
(Hands over face, covering eyes) Pitar Fratama, forgive my sins and remove my guilt. Amin.

The Central Prayer of Maninaya
In Maninaya the central prayer is:
Qashang Isha Atish. Qashang Mir Izgaddah. Qashang Mihr Yazd.
This translates into “Praise be to Isho the Splendor Praise be to the Lord, the Third Messenger and
praise be to the Living Spirit, the Lord, He who is worthy of worship.”
There is no limit as to how often a person may offer this prayer.
UPDATE:
“There is an even shorter form of this Maninaya prayer:
“Qashang Mir Izgaddah, Qashang Mihr Yazd.”
Which translates to : “Praise to the Third Messenger, He who is worthy of worship”.
The Maninaya prayer can be used with a set of prayer beads, a prayer rope or counting on ones hands.
To be used in all spiritual practice by Maninayans. Again, there is no limit to how many recitations of
the Maninaya prayer are to be offered.
