Emulsogen EB Water-based
fluid for steel
Emulsogen EB is a clear liquid with a viscosity of
approx. 2.400 mPas at room temperature and
pourable down to – 25°C.
Both the emulsions are micro-emulsions which a
narrow particle size distribution. The water-based
system shows an transparent appearance
whereas the TMP-Oleate based system is more
opalescent due to a larger particle size.
Fluids formulated with Emulsogen EB ® give excellent lubricity on steel
and aluminium
Emulsogen ® EB does not contain chlorine-, phosphorous-, or sulfur based lubricity
additves, but nevertheless it’s emulsions shows excellent lubricity on steel. When
formulated with esters, e.g. TMP-Oleate, the emulsions also give outstanding
lubricity on aluminum.
 Formulation for aluminum cutting
Formulations with esters show aluminium staining
but by the use of small amounts of Hostaphat ®
OPS in the concentrate this effect can be
inhibited, even when these contain high amounts
of copper.
