Making a splash
Selkirk Fire Dept. No. 2 Fire Chief Bill Asprion was a good sport at the 54th Glenmont Fire
Dept. No. 2 annual Firemans’ Fair, Friday, July 23, as he was drenched several times at
the “pitch burst” at the fair. Several adults as well as kids paid $1 to throw a ball at the
target and burst a large balloon fi lled with water over the chief’s head.
The turnout for the three-day event was good in spite of all the rain.
