a statement. “If my actions 

have been interpreted as 

an endorsement of any 

candidate, they should not

He declined to speak 

directly about the matter 

further. 

The Judicial Campaign 

Ethics Center is an arm 

of the state Unifi ed Court 

System that seeks to 

provide ethics advice for 

judicial candidates. The 

body can also assist in 

mediation should there 

be disagreements between 

candidates. 

A mediation seems 

unlikely in this scenario, 

as no one is seeking 

to have the signature 

disqualifi ed. 

“It would be a waste 

of effort and money,” 

said Melody Burns, 

chairwoman of the 

Bethlehem Republican 

Committee. “[Gordon] 

had enough signatures, 

so it doesn’t make any 

sense.” 

The rule in question 

does not pertain to election 

law, so it’s unlikely a basis 

would be found to have the 

signatures thrown out. 

While Ambrosio said he 

was unconcerned about 

Donovan’s petitions, 

it was apparently his 

own campaign that led 

the GOP to look into 

Donovan. 

Ambrosio said he was 

asked to carry petitions 

for other candidates 

when he was canvassing 

for the Independence 

and Conservative lines. 

Canvassing is a time- 

and energy-consuming 

process, so it’s not unusual 

for affi liated candidates to 

help one another out. 

“Several of my fellow 

Republican candidates 

found out I was having 

some success [gathering 

third-party signatures] 

and asked me if I 

wouldn’t mind carrying 

their petitions, too. ... 

I told them, I can’t do 

it,” Ambrosio said. “This 

being my first rodeo, I 

wanted to take a very, 

very conservative and 

careful approach to 

this.” 

Both Donovan and 

Ambrosio are seeking 

the Independence and 

Conservative lines, 

meaning there will be a 

Sept. 14 primary for those 

slots.

Patrick Bourey, 27, 

of Altamont was arrested 

by Guilderland police 

on Sunday, June 13, on 

DWI charges. Bourey was 

observed speeding while 

traveling westbound on 

Western Avenue. Upon 

interviewing, police found 

him to have a strong odor 

of alcohol on his breath, 

slurred speech and glassy 

eyes. According to police, 

Bourey either failed or 

refused all sobriety tests. 

Bourey was arraigned and 

appeared in Guilderland 

Town Court on July 1. 

Guilderland police 

arrested Shayna Hillary 

Feinman, 21, of Albany on 

Friday, June 18, on DWI 

charges. Feinman was 

stopped for operating a 

vehicle with no headlights 

on Bentwood Court. 

According to police, 

Feinman was found to 

have impaired motor 

coordination and admitted 

to smoking marijuana 30 

minutes prior. Feinman 

failed all sobriety tests, was 

transported to St. Peters 

Hospital Emergency Room 

for a blood test and then 

transported to Guilderland 

Police Department for 

processing. Feinman was 

arraigned and appeared in 

Guilderland Town Court 

on July 1. 

Colin Harte, 29, of 

Slingerlands was arrested 

by Guilderland police on 

Sunday, June 13, on DWI 

charges. Harte allegedly 

left the scene of an accident 

on Church Road and was 

found in his mother’s 

basement on Western 

Turnpike in Guilderland. 

Harte appeared to have 

bloodshot, watery eyes, 

slurred speech, a dazed 

and confused look on his 

face, impaired mobility and 

the smell of alcohol on his 

breath. Harte was returned 

to the scene of the incident, 

where he was identifi ed as 

the operator of the vehicle 

that caused the accident. 

Harte refused sobriety and 

chemical tests. Harte was 

arraigned in Guilderland 

Town Court. 


arrested Gregory Sokol, 

34, of Saratoga Springs on 

aggravated DWI charges 

on Sunday, July 4. Sokol 

was observed speeding 

while traveling eastbound 

on Route 20 near Witte 

Road. According to 

police, Sokol appeared 

to have a strong odor of 

alcohol on his breath, 

glassy eyes, and impaired 

motor coordination. Sokol 

admitted to consuming 

“two or three” beers 

while at his house. He 

failed all sobriety tests 

and was transported to 

the Guilderland Police 

Department where 

he was found to have a 

blood alcohol level of 0.19 

percent. 

Antwon S. Moore, 26, 

of Troy was arrested on 

Sunday, June 27, on charges 

of criminal possession of 

a controlled substance 

and criminal possession 

of a controlled substance 

with intent to sell. Moore 

was stopped on Alton 

Road, and, according to 

police, the odor of burning 

marijuana was emanating 

from his vehicle. Police 

found a partially smoked 

cigar containing marijuana 

in plain view in the driver’s 

door handle insert. Police 

also observed an open 

bottle of rum on the 

front passenger floor in 

plain view. Moore was 

found to have on him one 

partially smoked marijuana 

cigar, one small, purple 

plastic bag containing a 

quantity of marijuana and 

one open bottle of rum, 

two individually wrapped 

plastic baggies containing 

a quantity of cocaine. The 

cocaine was packaged 

and possessed with 

intent to sell. It was found 

concealed under a car seat 

in the vehicle. Moore was 

arraigned in Guilderland 

Town Court on July 1. 

Paul Moore, 28, 

of Troy was arrested 

by Guilderland police 

on Sunday, June 27, for 

criminal possession of a 

stimulant and intent to 

sell. Moore was stopped 

on Crossgates Mall Road 

and was found to possess 

a partially smoked cigar 

containing marijuana in 

plain view. Also observed 

was an open bottle of rum 

in plain view. Moore was 

found to be in possession 

of a quantity of marijuana 

and a digital scale covered 

in cocaine residue. The 

scale was found in Moore’s 

back pocket along with 

$6,024 in cash. Moore was 

arrested and transported 

to the patrol station and 

arraigned in the Village 

of Voorheesville Court. 

Moore was remanded 

to the custody of the 

Albany County Sheriff’s 

Department with no bail 

and ordered to return to 

the Town of Guilderland 

Justice Court on July 1. 


arrested Cristal Ramundo, 

27, of Troy on Sunday, 

June 27, on charges of 

possession of a controlled 

substance with intent to 

sell. Ramundo was found 

to have two plastic baggies 

containing 18.7 grams of 

crack cocaine. Ramundo 

was also found to possess 

a quantity of marijuana. 

Ramundo was taken into 

custody and arraigned 

before Guilderland Justice 

Court on July 1.
