IV METHODOLOGY Data was gathered through a survey administered to more than 308 young people (134 males, and 170 females, and four who did not specify their gender), with an average age of 18 years and additionally, through focus group discussions (FGD) conducted among 45 respondents from the same Metro Manila communities. PRIMARY DATA ANALYSIS Survey Survey questions were developed to elicit the information necessary to prove the hypothesis of the study. These survey questions were distributed to key, urban poor areas in Metro Manila through health workers or NGO workers we had previously worked with in the selected communities. In some areas, the questionnaires were left in the barangay health center, which is one of the key areas frequented by young people with reproductive health care concerns. 8
