Examinations for entrance to the next session will be held at the Law School Building beginning Monday, September 8th. Blanks for application to take these examinations will be furnished by the Registrar on request, and must be filed with the Registrar on or before Monday, September 1st. An examination fee of $5.00 will be charged, payable when application is filed. The subjects embraced in the examination and the units allowed for each, are as follows: English (including 1 spelling, grammar, composition, and American Literature, four years) - 3 Units History— Science— Mathematics— United States History 1 English History 1 " Modern and Medieval History 1 " Ancient History 1 General Science _ 1 " Physics ! — 1 " Chemistry 1 " Biology _ 1 " Physical Geography 1 " Elementary Geology 1 " Arithmetic Vi Algebra 1 Vi " Plane Geometry 1 " Plane Trigonometry % " Foreign Languages— Social Science Latin, French, German or Spanish: Equivalent to two years' work in High School 2 " Equivalent to three years' work in High School 3 Equivalent to four years' work in High School 4 Civics : ! 1 Elementary Economics _ - _ 1 " 20
Of the fifteen units required, the student must offer three units in English; two units in Mathematics; two units in Science; two units in History (United States and English) ; and two units in Foreign Languages. The remaining four units may be chosen from any of the subjects designated. Registration. All students are required when entering for each session to report at the office of the Registrar, located in the Law building, Lombard and Greene Streets, in person and enroll. Each student will receive a Class Card, stating his registration and payment of fees. This card, will be necessary in order to obtain admission to the lectures. The date of enrollment for each session will be noted, and names not upon the register will not be placed upon the class rolls. The stipulated period of attendance upon the Law School for the purpose of graduation and for insertion in the certificate required to take the examination for admission to the bar before the State Board of Law Examiners, will be calculated from the register, and the class rolls made therefrom. The attention of all students is called to the fact that no registration will be allowed except by special action of the Faculty Council after the last day for registration as designated in the Calendar. Students who fail to pay the tuition and other fees required on or before the last day of registration, for each term or semester, as stated in the catalogue, will be required to pay as an addition to the fees required the sum of Five ($5.00) Dollars and if the payment so required shall not be paid before twenty (20) days from the beginning of said term or semester, the student's name shall be stricken from the rolls. Advanced Standing. Students complying with the requirements for admission to the school who have, in addition, successfully pursued the study of law elsewhere in an accredited law school, may, upon presentation of a certificate from such accredited law school showing that the student has successfully completed equivalent courses therein, covering at least as many hours as are required for such subjects in this school, receive credit for such courses and be admitted to advanced standing.
