Black = Diagonal Torque
Green = Torque in Base
Diagonal Torque provides a smaller bracket sloping
away from occlusion, minimizing the likelihood of
occlusal interference.
Depending on the system of choice, specifi c torque is built into each Master
Series bracket. This is not unique. What makes Diagonal Torque unique
is the method used to incorporate torque into the design of the bracket.
Torque in other systems is machined into the face or wedged in the base.
Diagonal Torque keeps the center of the arch slot over the center of the
base and offers more predictable expression of torque, while allowing the
lowest profi le possible.
As torque values change, bracket angles change,
allowing the gingival/occlusal and facial/lingual
