Manage Equipment. At the heart of the<br />

Equipment Management Series, the<br />

Equipment Manager tracks all costs<br />

involved in acquiring equipment, as well<br />

as the financial details that affect the<br />

equipment's book value. The Equipment<br />

Manager summarizes key data such as<br />

service expenses, depreciation, rental<br />

billings, capitalized repairs and warranty<br />

expenses. Additionally, interest,<br />

depreciation and rental billings are<br />

calculated and updated.<br />

Purchase Goods. The Equipment<br />

Purchasing module serves as an<br />

enhancement <strong>to</strong> Microsoft Dynamics<br />

GP® Purchase Order Processing for the<br />

purchase of whole goods. Equipment from<br />

numerous suppliers can be linked <strong>to</strong>gether<br />

<strong>to</strong> form the whole good. When a new<br />

piece of equipment <strong>is</strong> ordered, an<br />

equipment ID <strong>is</strong> created and linked <strong>to</strong> the<br />

item <strong>to</strong> ensure costs for the new item are<br />

collected.<br />

EQUIPMENT MANAGEMENT<br />

SERIES<br />

Rental Tracking. The Equipment Rental<br />

module uses a streamlined cradle-<strong>to</strong>-grave<br />

approach <strong>to</strong> support the rental process.<br />

From invoice <strong>to</strong> agreement, the<br />

Equipment Rental module records all<br />

events in the rental process. Also available<br />

are several analytical <strong>to</strong>ols <strong>to</strong> sort or<br />

search variables such as model, location,<br />

status or attribute.<br />

Sales Process. By providing the back-end<br />

needs for processing sales transactions,<br />

the Equipment Sales module enhances<br />

the integration between the sales process<br />

and the Equipment Manager. Sales staff<br />

can have instant access <strong>to</strong> equipment<br />

information, including availability, hours<br />

worked and the mechanical condition of<br />

the fleet. Equipment Sales also adds<br />

functionality <strong>to</strong> Microsoft Dynamics GP<br />

Sales Order Processing for the<br />

configuration, quotation and sale of<br />

whole goods.<br />

Transportation. Controlling the<br />

movement of the equipment fleet, the<br />

Equipment Transport module facilitates<br />

the booking, invoicing and scheduling of<br />

equipment pickups and deliveries.<br />

transport charges <strong>to</strong> the normal rental<br />

invoicing<br />

equipment where third party<br />

billing <strong>is</strong> not required.<br />
