The World Meeting will move at the pace of major social events.
Porto de Honra - 25 May 2010
On the fi rst day of the Congress, after the Opening Ceremony of
the exhibition, there will be a Porto de Honra (Oporto of Honour).
It will be the fi rst social event of the programme and the perfect
occasion to get together around a prestigious wine renowned
since the 18th century.

Welcome Reception - 25 May 2010
The reception, held within the exhibition, will give you an
opportunity to meet the World Meeting participants and exhibitors
for direct and privileged exchanges.
The welcome reception is included in the conference
registration fee and the accompanying persons programme fee.

Gala Dinner - 27 May 2010
The history of Beato Monastery dates back to the 15th
century, when Queen Isabel, wife of King Afonso V, was given
authorisation to build a hospice in the chapel of S. Bento for the
congregation of “frades azuis”– the blue monks. Before she was
able to fulfi ll her wish, the Queen died, leaving 8,000 gold coins
in her will for the hospice construction.
In 1984, the Beato Monastery was classifi ed as a Heritage Site
of Public Interest. The Gala Dinner will be a unique experience,
rich in Portuguese culture and history.
