champagne among lighting fi xtures
Do you fancy bubbles? They tickle on your tongue, sparkle down
your throat and make you smile. The bubbles are full of optimism
and emotions and Champagne wine have had and will always retain
the prestige of luxury item, likewise the Lasvit collection Bubbles
in Space. While the genesis of Champagne sparkling wine dwells
under the veil of secret and its origin should most likely be blamed
on its makers’ fault and the second fermentation, the birth of the
Bubbles in Space, the fi zzy spatial object is crystal clear, wilful and
targeted. While the safe storage of the fi zzy wine is assigned to
Frenchmen age-old rivals, the Englishmen, who in the 17th century
have found the technology of manufacturing very thick glass that
does not break so easily, the perfect shape and aesthetics of the
Bubbles in Space should be assigned to thousand-year-old tradition
of the Czech glassmaking, that has maintained its rare position in
the world of glassmaking since the Gothic.
Fine matured Bubbles popped up from the art of the Czech
glassmaking designers and glass-work masters, always fresh with
a versatile refl exive tone, smart, space friendly and always of an
outstanding aesthetic class. The object can fulfi l the function of
lighting fi xture as well as it has a power to fi ll up the room with
specifi c atmosphere. Its remarkable conception makes it impossible
for the viewer to perceive it only in a practical sense. Multiplicity,
spatial make-up, an abstract form of it and a light installation
ensure this emotional lighting whirl with a stir of emotion. The
sphere, the bubble, in other word, which stands for the determining
shape of the object, is also the natural constituent of the glass
material and obvious part of the matter. Its surface refl ects the
world around and transforms the image of it due to its ability to
cast optical spells prompting the viewer’s imagination into the
plays of light, shape and motion.
Popularity of Champagne wine steadily grew, among other reasons,
for the bubbles in wine somehow speed up the fl ow of alcohol
into the blood. The Bubbles in Space by Lasvit are the Champagne
among all spatial lightings, the fi zz that really gets you drunk with
