ABOUT SCSE
The mission of the School is to persistently strive for
achieving excellence in computing disciplines. It is being
pursued through its spectrum of academic programmes in
computing of contemporary standards.
The school offers two programs, one Undergraduate
program on Computer Science and Engineering and Two
Master’s program in MS (Software Engineering) and
Master of Computer Applications at Chennai Campus.
The computing science division aims to promote training
and research in the field of Computing, Wired/ Wireless
Networking, Theoretical Computer Science, Software
Engineering Methodologies and Distributed Computing.
WORKSHOP THEME
The usage of computer and communication network
have grown exponentially for the several years presenting
critical challenges and new opportunities to service
providers, equipment vendors , outsourcing firms,
technology developers, and enterprises themselves. In
this scenario, network engineers must work
proactively to improve performance, security and
operational costs of the existing functions and to work
efficiently to increase productivity through new
methods of networks usage. The recent developments
have resulted in substantial advances in our ability to
model and simulate large-scale networks. Such advances
have the potential to help understand of the behavior
of network systems, offering newer opportunities to pave
a way to create more reliable, robust, and secure
network services for the future. The purpose of this
workshop is to provide an insight into
f u n d a m e n t a l s of network simulation through the
NS-2 to tackle intricate problems in areas of computer
networks.

� Wired and Wireless examples using TCL.
� OTCL/C++ Linkages.
� Creation of New Agent.
Day 2:
� NS2 Compilation with Adhoc Networks.
� Addition of a New Protocol in Wired Networks.
� Recompilation of NS2 for Vehicular Networks.
