SCC receives a six-year reaffirmation of accreditation from
ACCJC
The women’s soccer Hawks finish their season with a state
championship and ranked first in the nation with an overall
record of 23-0-2
The orange education Center is approved as an authorized
education center by both the California Board of Governors
and the California Postsecondary education Commission
Counseling implements required Academic Probation
Intervention workshops and mandatory New Student
orientation
The State Chancellor’s office approves the Continuing
education division’s Adult High School diploma Program (a
mandated requirement to continue granting college high
school diplomas after July 1, 2009)
oeC hosts its first Book Fair where all continuing education
students received a minimum of three gently-used books;
more than 4,000 books are distributed
SCC forms an enhanced partnership with UC Irvine’s Center
for educational Partnerships and participates in the
Community College Transfer Consortium
The 60,000-square foot Science Center is dedicated, June 23
