has been caring for residents for more
than 20 years.
Nestled in a leafy neighbourhood,
the independent living units provide a
comfortable home with the convenience
of 24-hour on-call help from friendly staff
should you need it in an emergency.
The village has a strong sense of
community and residents are encouraged
to make use of the recreational facilities
including indoor pool and spa, garden
areas and library.
An extensive program of regular
activities will also keep life busy and
includes shopping trips, day trips, music
groups, dancing, indoor bowls, seasonal
celebrations and more. Mass is celebrated
regularly in the Chapel.

Villa La Salle Retirement Village is owned by the Trustees
of the De La Salle Brothers and is managed by Caritas
Care, a division of St Vincent’s & Holy Spirit Health.
Villa La Salle offers two levels of care, these include:
Hostel (low care – ageing in place)
Independent living units (self care).

Trustees of the De La Salle Brothers
The De La Salle Brothers were founded by St John Baptist
De La Salle in France in 1680 to educate poor youth.
Their first foundation in Australia was in Armidale, NSW, in 1906.
The Southport property, a former cable station, was purchased in
the mid 1960s as holiday centre for Boystown Beaudesert, as well
as accommodation for retired Brothers. Villa La Salle was then
subsequently developed to now provide hostel care for elderly
people in addition to independent living units.
Caritas Care
Caritas Care is a not-for-profit community organisation committed
to working together in a Christian environment to bring the healing
ministry of Christ to all we serve. Our concern for others, especially
those in need, permeates every aspect of the life and work of
our service.

recently refurbished units. Designed with your lifestyle
in mind, the units are convenient and comfortable.
Decorated with modern fittings in neutral colours, the
one and two bedroom units feature stylish kitchens,
bathrooms, internal laundries and separate living rooms.
Each unit has air-conditioning, ceiling fans and a direct
dial phone connection.
Most units have an alfresco courtyard or balcony to enjoy the
sunshine and breezes or to maintain a small potted garden.

connected to care staff 24-hours a day. Residents

Retirement Village has easy access to a range of lifestyle
conveniences including Australia Fair Shopping Centre,
Southport City Centre’s speciality shops, an extensive
range of cafés and restaurants, and Southport RSL.
Close at hand medical facilities include Gold Coast
Public Hospital, Allamanda Private Hospital and Pindara
Private Hospital. Southport business centre, cinemas,
public library and bowls clubs are also nearby.
The village’s own bus makes twice weekly trips to local
