Velour<br />
A napped (pile) fabric used for stage draperies having a rich luster that<br />
shows up well when lighted. The heavier weight can also be used to some<br />
degree for sound absorption. An interesting property of velour is how it<br />
appears to change color depending upon how you view it.<br />
For this reason, it is very important that you have the nap running in the<br />
same direction (We recommend nap going down, it tends to gather less<br />
dust). Care should be taken to order enough material as velour is very dye<br />
lot sensitive. One dye lot may not match another dye lot of the same color.<br />
This applies even to black. Velour is available in a cotton or a synthetic<br />
product and is available in a variety of colors and weights.<br />
