DEFENSE SENIOR LEADER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (DSLDP)<br />

The DSLDP is the premier civilian leader development program for the DOD. DSLDP<br />

institutes a competency-based approach to the deliberate development of senior civilian<br />

leaders with the enterprise-wide perspective needed to lead organizations and programs<br />

and to achieve results in the joint, interagency, and multinational environments. Created<br />

in response to our changing environment, DSLDP is the successor program to the<br />

Defense Leadership and Management Program, which concluded at the end of FY10.<br />

• Be a Department of the Army (DA) civilian at the grades of GS-14 and 15 or<br />

equivalent grade within a Demonstration Project.<br />

• Have served at least 3 years in a DA civilian permanent appointment position.<br />

• Possess a bachelor’s degree.<br />

• Have successfully completed the Civilian Education System Advanced Course or<br />

received equivalency credit.<br />
