Arrests<br />

December 7, 11:08 a.m., Travis<br />

Avery <strong>of</strong> 22 Court Hillside<br />

Road, a 21-year-old resident,<br />

was arrested and charged with a<br />

theft scheme over $1,000, fourthdegree<br />

burglary and conspiracy<br />

to commit theft, among other<br />

charges, after being found in possession<br />

<strong>of</strong> stolen bicycles. He<br />

was transferred to the Department<br />

<strong>of</strong> Corrections <strong>for</strong> a hearing be<strong>for</strong>e<br />

a district court commissioner.<br />

December 12, 12:32 p.m.,<br />

Hanover Parkway at Lake Park<br />

Drive. A 39-year-old nonresident<br />

man was arrested and charged<br />

with theft under $100 after he<br />

was stopped in a vehicle displaying<br />

a rear Md. tag that had been<br />

reported stolen through the Prince<br />

George’s County <strong>Police</strong>. He was<br />

released on citation pending trial.<br />

DWI/DUI<br />

December 11, 2:26 a.m., Ridge<br />

Road at Ivy Lane. A 26-year-old<br />

resident was arrested and charged<br />

with multiple alcohol-related violations,<br />

among other charges,<br />

after a traffic stop. He was released<br />

on citations pending trial.<br />

Disorderly Conduct<br />

December 8, 12:43 a.m., 7400<br />

block Greenway Center Drive. A<br />

25-year-old nonresident woman<br />

was arrested and charged with<br />

disorderly conduct. She was<br />

released on citation pending trial.<br />

Trespassing<br />

December 7, 3:11 p.m., 6200<br />

block Breezewood Drive. A<br />

21-year-old nonresident man was<br />

arrested and charged with trespassing<br />

on posted property. He<br />

was released on citation pending<br />

trial.<br />

December 10, 10:10 p.m.,<br />

6400 block Capitol Drive. A<br />

55-year-old nonresident woman<br />

was arrested and charged with<br />

trespassing on private property.<br />

She was released on citation<br />

pending trial.<br />

Burglary<br />

block Breezewood Drive. Electronics<br />

were taken.<br />

December 8, 4:26 p.m., 1<br />

was taken from a garage. It was<br />

<strong>Police</strong> Make Arrests<br />

In Armed Robbery<br />

Greenbelt police have arrested<br />

Larry Delonte Harris, 23, Myluve<br />

Hubbard (aka Myluv Evans), 21,<br />

and Mercedes Shada Davis, 24,<br />

all <strong>of</strong> Washington, D.C., in the<br />

December 6 armed robbery <strong>of</strong><br />

Her Imports, 7900 Belle Point<br />

Drive. All three were charged<br />

with armed robbery, first degree<br />

assault, second degree assault<br />

and theft over $10,000. A search<br />

warrant on an address in Suitland<br />

resulted in Greenbelt <strong>Police</strong><br />

Department detectives recovering<br />

some <strong>of</strong> the property stolen from<br />

the business.<br />

recovered later, abandoned near<br />

Plateau Place. No arrests were<br />

made.<br />

December 10, 6:40 p.m., 20<br />

Court Hillside Road. A bicycle<br />

was taken from a yard.<br />

December 11, 3:05 p.m., 60<br />

Court Crescent Road. A bicycle<br />

was taken from a yard. Two<br />

people were identified as being<br />

involved in this matter and<br />

charges are pending.<br />

Vandalism<br />

December 10, 7:30 p.m.,<br />

Northway ball fields. Ball field<br />

grass was damaged.<br />

Vehicle Crime<br />

One car was stolen, a white<br />

1998 Dodge Caravan with Md.<br />

tags, taken from the 9100 block<br />

Edmonston Court.<br />

A 1997 Honda Civic, stolen<br />

from the 200 block Lakeside<br />

Drive, was recovered in the 100<br />

block <strong>of</strong> Westway. No arrests<br />

were made.<br />

Three thefts from autos were<br />

received: 5900 block Cherrywood<br />

Terrace (rear Md. tag),<br />

7400 block Greenway Center<br />

Drive (portable gas can and documents)<br />

and 5700 block Greenbelt<br />

Metro Drive (catalytic converter).<br />

Vandalism<br />

Vandalism was reported on<br />

Ridge Road at Gardenway (side<br />

mirror and fender were damaged)<br />

and 6900 block Hanover Parkway<br />

(vehicle was scratched).<br />

by Trevor Mitchell. Helping<br />

the Rollers help the police was<br />

Rapper X-P, a local per<strong>for</strong>mance<br />

artist. Concerned reporter: “Are<br />

your lyrics fit <strong>for</strong> the virgin ears<br />

<strong>of</strong> these innocent children? No<br />

obscene words?” “No ‘F’ words,<br />

Rollers, AKA “Bull Man,” helped<br />

Tyler Hubbard, 9, pick out a<br />

bracelet and earrings <strong>for</strong> his mom<br />

<strong>of</strong> the Rollers said “I love it! I<br />

wouldn’t want to be any other<br />

place.”<br />

“Skyywalker” <strong>of</strong> the Rollers<br />

helped Malcolm Jones, 11,<br />

wrap a hoops game <strong>for</strong> himself<br />

and some makeup <strong>for</strong> his mom.<br />

“Skyywalker” in his quotidian<br />

normal job is Terrence Burke,<br />

at Northwestern High School<br />

and also the Wildcats’ basketball<br />

coach.<br />

Captain Carl Schinner had an<br />

assistant, James McManus, 12,<br />

who helped him (Schinner) help<br />

Delanie McManus, 11, James’s<br />

sister, pick out some goodies <strong>for</strong><br />

their mom. Aja Harris, a police<br />

dispatcher, guided Suzanna Array,<br />

11, and Jamari Edwards, 7,<br />

in selecting a watch and a video<br />

game.<br />

There were no crèches in<br />

sight, but no Grinches either –<br />

just an abundance <strong>of</strong> smiles on<br />

the faces <strong>of</strong> kids, bikers and<br />

Greenbelt’s Finest.<br />
