South Florida operates the North Miami Medical
Center Mercy Mobile, a free
mobile medical clinic that
brings needed primary care
services, health education and
counseling to the inner city.
n The Open Door Health Center is a free, fullservice
medical clinic that serves the uninsured
of Miami-Dade County. More than 100 volunteer
health care professionals provide the care.
Secondary care is provided at the clinic or at
the doctors’ private
offices. Baptist
Health South Florida
provides free
hospitalization and
outpatient services
as well.

and Miami Children’s Hospital have partnered
with us to streamline the effort to vaccinate
children in schools.
n Mercy Hospital and the St. John Bosco (San Juan
Bosco) Clinic have provided free primary care to
undocumented, indigent and uninsured adults
and children since
1992. Many volunteer
physicians and
support staff make
this care possible.
