Tube and Pipe Cleaning Pipe and tube cleaning are the most common uses for waterjetting. Many variables determine the most suitable equipment for a given job: • Size of the job • Budget and time available • Tube diameter and length • Deposit adhesion and hardness • Unplugging or polishing? • Are the tubes straight or bent? • Orientation: horizontal or vertical • Will the tubes or pipes be moved or cleaned in place? For that reason, Jetstream manufactures and supplies a wide assortment of tube and pipe cleaning equipment, from simple manual tools to large-scale automated systems. Before After Basic Tools Thermoplastic Hoses & Flex Lances Thermoplastic hoses and flex lances are the most durable and offer the widest selection of end fitting connections and available operating pressures (up to 43,500 psi). Rubber Hoses Available in several sizes, rubber hoses are the most economical and easiest to manuever for pipe cleaning operations. Rotating Nozzles Tube Spinners Featuring a specially coated shaft and hardened sleeve with two rotating jets, Tube Spinner Nozzles thoroughly clean small tube walls. Available with outside diameters from .375” to 1.040” and pressures up to 20,000 psi. Automated Systems and Tools Automated and semi-automated system are a must for large jobs. In addition to higher productivity rates, powered systems provide the most consistent cleaning, reduce or eliminate operator fatigue, and increase operator safety. Sabertooth A powered dual hose reel with self-rotating nozzles, the Sabertooth is ideal for cleaning evaporators or other vertical tube bundles. Because of its compact size and ease of assembly, it performs well in confined space or other applications that are difficult to reach with larger systems. • Cleans two tubes per stroke • Complete operator control of pressure and feed rate • 50’ stroke • 15,000 psi and 20,000 psi models available In contrast to devices that use a fixed nozzle and rotating flex lance, the Sabertooth is more reliable and economical to operate, and the variety of self-rotating nozzles that can be used offers greater versatility. The Sabertooth makes quick work of 2,500 tubes, each 50’ long x 2” diameter, inside a power plant’s brine concentrator. Rigid Lances Rigid lances are used for manual cleaning of straight tubes or with automated lancing systems to clean heat exchangers quickly and effectively. Drilled Nozzles Thousands of unique styles, sizes, jet patterns, pressure and flow ratings precision drilled to best suit any job. Rigid Lancing System With several configurations available, our rigid lancing systems offer the safest and most productive cleaning of heat exchanger tubes. • Operator easily controls pressure, feed, and lance positioning from a safe distance • Two, three, and four lance systems • Pneumatically or hydraulically controlled positioning and feed • Rotation can be powered or nozzle-driven • Operating pressures up to 40,000 psi • Stroke: 15’ to 60’ Porta-Lance These hand-held tools allow quick setup for small tube bundles. Air-powered rotation allows the nozzle jet positions to be optimized for maximum cleaning power. Available in several sizes for pressures up to 40,000 psi. SteelFlex This Flexible steel tubing with a welded nozzle can clean tubes as small as 5/32” (nozzle shown actual size). Foot Guns Jetstream offers a wide selection of heavy-duty foot guns to provide the operator with safe and complete control of flow and pressure through the nozzle during manual cleaning operations. All foot guns use 30-second field-replaceable valve cartridges.
