Welcome
GBTA Oil, Gas & Marine Travel Symposium
Delegate Handbook
Thank you for registering for the
2nd annual GBTA Oil, Gas & Marine
Travel Symposium. We look forward
to welcoming you to Rotterdam on
24th October 2012.
The content for this event is driven
by you, our delegates, more than
any other in the GBTA Europe
calendar. Following the feedback
from last year’s inaugural (and very
successful) Oil, Gas and Marine
Travel Symposium we have created
an exciting programme looking
at air fares; duty of care; travel
policy from both the corporate and
traveller perspective. We also have
an Innovation Hour at which our
expert panel will discuss solutions
to your most pressing issues.
As a delegate at this event you
will also receive a link to two new
GBTA White Papers specifically
designed for this market. This paper
on payment issues, and a second
paper designed for GBTA members
globally in this sector on Duty of
Care, have been created in response
to requests at last year’s event.
Naturally, the quality of our event
relies on professional attendees,
but I would also like to thank
our sponsors and our speakers,
without whom we would be unable
to provide an event like this. We
hope you find our programme
stimulating, the White Papers
informative and also take this
opportunity to network with your
colleagues from across Europe and
beyond.
#OGM2012
If you have any questions prior
to the event please contact
cmcgavock@gbta.org.
Kind regards
Chairman
Press Policy
1.0 General Reporting from
Sessions and delegate
conversations
GBTA Europe will be operating ALL
of the OGM2012 under the following
principles.
1.1 All Sessions
• Speaker information will be
deemed to be approved for
reporting by default UNLESS a
speaker specifically says at the
time of a particular comment
that it should not be reported.
• Audience/Delegate information
will require specific approval if
they or their company are to be
referenced or quoted.
Antitrust Reminder
GBTA supports competition law
compliance and manages its
activities to avoid competition
law breaches. Many activities
among competitors are both
legal and beneficial to society
and the industry. This includes
the networking, educational,
professional development, research,
and advocacy functions provided
by GBTA. Some group activities,
however, such as boycotts, market
allocation and price fixing, are
inherently suspect under the
antitrust laws.
