in YHs HistorY!
The S. S. Critter Cruise, which took place July 31 at the
Wyndham Garden Hotel in Prescott, turned out to be the
biggest fundraiser in YHS history! Thanks to our sponsors
and guests, we netted more than $40,000 for our animals!
“We are thrilled this was such a successful event and we’re
so thankful to our sponsors and donors,” said YHS Executive
Director Ed Boks. “This is the most money ever raised at our
annual YHS fundraiser and we hope this event raises the bar for
future fundraisers so we can continue to save animals’ lives”
Special thanks go out to all our sponsors and especially to
major sponsors Donald and Shirley Pence, who graciously
donated $20,000 for the event. In addition to funds raised
through sponsorships, ticket sales, and auction items, YHS
also raised more than $1,300 at the event to provide spays
and neuters for low income residents of Yavapai County
(please see related story entitled, “The Big Fix”).
