Santogold looks set to confirm the hype with her self titled debut
album SANTOGOLD out on 12 th May. Preceded by the lead single
‘L.E.S Artistes’, which is the perfect introduction to an exceptionally
versatile and exciting new act, SANTOGOLD cements Santogold as
the freshest sounding pop artist we’ve heard in a long time. Clever
and insightful lyrics, sparse quirky guitar lines and analogue synth
sounds - Santogold has created a straight out of the box pop track
that sounds like the best of a 21 st century Debbie Harry.
The lead single sets the tone for forthcoming album ‘Santogold’. It
features a guest appearance from Spank Rock's Naeem Juwan,
and professional snowboarder/musician Trevor "Trouble" Andrew
and is produced by Santi and friends, including John Hill, Switch,
Diplo, FreQ Nasty and Disco D. The album is packed to the rafters
with innovative pop tracks taking in new wave, dub, rock, pop, reggae
and proves Santogold is a truly eclectic original who will own 2008.
