Claudia has lead on the delivery of Project REDUCE Monitoring &
Evaluation, a Defra funded project aiming to research, develop and trial
tools to measure waste prevention. She has also contributed extensively to
a review of the evidence base of behaviour change to inform communitybased
waste prevention and recycling, a project funded through the Defra
Waste and Resource Evidence programme and led by Brook Lyndhurst.
Claudia co-authored Defra’s best practice guidance report Recycling for
flats and contributed to a number of Defra WIP LASU consultancy projects
giving advice to local authorities on the implementation and improvement of
flats-based recycling systems.
She also has extensive experience of conducting focus group discussions,
including in the London Boroughs of Bexley, Newham, Redbridge and
Southwark.

Claudia contributed to a range of projects including:
– Best practice guide on flats-based recycling systems
– Research into attitudes towards direct charging for waste services
– Development of the Kerbside Analysis Tool (KAT) for local
authorities
– Biffaward Mass Balance studies Plastics in the UK economy and
Rethinking waste management to reap rewards – minimising waste
for business benefit
