2001 – 2003 HAMP Business System
Project manager for introduction of implementation of Hydro Best Practice and
CORPORUM Knowledge Factory in Hydro Aluminium. Knowledge Factory consists of
knowledge bases and linguistic tools for efficient knowledge sharing and content
management. Designed for 30.000 end users. Managed the introduction of the FAROS
methodology and spearheaded the facilitation of 28 business processes.
1996 – 2000 Director of Technology and Research
2000 – 2002 OntoKnowledge
Participation in EU-funded project on studies and use of ontologies in content
management. Other participants included University of Amsterdam, University of
Karlsruhe, British Telecom R&D, Enersearch, AI Administrator. Partly responsible for
development of extraction technology based on MIMIR concept.
2000 CORPORUM Summarizer
Responsible for development of a text summarizer based on semantic analysis and ontology
management. Development of fuzzy algorithm for contextual threading of paragraphs and
extraction technique for both summarisation of a multiple discourse document and interest
driven summary. Summarizer was commercialised and is today recognized as one of the
leading commercial summarizers in the world.
1998 – 2000 TEKMO/MIMIR
Project responsible. Text interpretation based on context models. Research on detection
of ontological structures in text. Development of system based on structural
computational linguistics and fuzzy ontological structures for enabling efficient
contextual detection of a discourse and intelligent extraction. Development of the
Resonance Algorithm – a novel approach for combined hypothesis and data driven search
and filtering whereby hypotheses are used as perception filters that are dynamically
adjusted according to what support is given to the different hypothesis mustered.
