wHo we ARe Cuso international volunteers share their skills and change lives. They pass on knowledge and professional expertise – and gain a deeper understanding about our inter-connected world. our vision Our vision is a world of engaged and empowered citizens working together to promote equality and justice, and to overcome poverty. It’s a world where all people are able to realize their human rights, develop their capabilities, and participate effectively in society. our mission Our mission is to build a global movement of volunteers dedicated to achieving just and sustainable development. We work in partnership with disadvantaged people and communities to strengthen their own capacity and realize their own potential. How we work • Long-term overseas volunteering – Professional placements for up to two years. Our volunteers help build social infrastructure by passing on their expertise. They come from both developed & developing nations. • Short-term specialist assignments – Positions of six months and under for highly experienced professionals who provide senior support. They come from both developed & developing nations. • Developing world ‘National Volunteering’ – Support for in-country volunteering, helping people contribute to their own communities. • Diaspora communities volunteering – Support for people interested in using their skills in their countries of birth or heritage.
