A special coating on the tip of the segment allows
sharpening within a few centimers drilling depth in the
respective material.
In addition, the optimal segment profile is formed very
quickly. This leads to a significantly steadier and even
faster drilling performance of the core bit in comparison to
the normal design (see diagram).
Wet-drilling diamond core bits
Universal, fast and long-lasting
The new Hawera wet-drilling diamond core bits are
equipped with segments with a special coating on the tip.
Instead of a surface, as with conventional standard
segments, only a line (segment tip) comes in contact with
the material when the core bit meets the concrete. This
makes quick penetration of the segment possible, thus
preventing radial slippage.
