Ennis Prismo Traffic Safety Solutions is the global market leading manufacturer and supplier of road
markings, surfacings and traffic safety products.
Formerly known as Prismo Road Markings Limited, the company is now part of Ennis Traffic; the world
leader in road safety products.
Ennis Traffic operates across the Americas markets, as well as supplying in to Asia Pacific, while Ennis
Prismo services the traffic safety needs of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
As a result, we are able to offer a truly global service that we believe is unrivalled in the road safety

to the highest level, we have two proven approaches:
1. We have opened over 20 international offices and
manufacturing facilities. This helps to ensure our products
can be manufactured to specific customer requirements
and delivered quickly and efficiently. It also means that
our sales and marketing teams are able to hold face to
face meetings with you to discuss your needs.
2. In order to build strong local relationships and
demonstrate our commitment to long-term, sustainable
business, we have set up a number of joint ventures

Environmental

Company has implemented ISO 14001:2004 EMS to monitor
and continuously improve its environmental performance.

its commitment to achieving the highest level of health and

Training
Ennis Prismo operates a wide ranging internal company
training programme to ensure all of its staff have the skills
required to perform their jobs to the highest level. We
can also provide training to customers and other external
companies.
Company Overview
Manufacturing & Quality
We understand the importance of delivering consistently
high quality products to our customers. Our largest
manufacturing plant is in Chorley, UK. This factory is the
most advanced thermoplastic production site in the world.
In order to maintain our quality levels, we have implemented
ISO 9001:2008, ensuring our customers receive the highest
standards of service.
Standards & Approvals
At Ennis Prismo we produce products that perform at the
highest levels. As a result, we offer a wide selection of
products that meet internationally recognised standards,
demonstrating the excellent results that we achieve under
the most intense testing. These standards include BSEN
1871, 1436 and BSEN 14188-1:1004, as well as the BSI
Kitemark.
We hold approvals from a range of international bodies,
including BBA HAPAS in the UK, Bundesanstalt fur
Materialforschung und Prufung and BASt to EN1436 in
Germany. In Spain we have product approvals from AETEC
and in France from ASQUER; both to EN1436. We also
adhere to AASHTO standards.
Research & Development
At Ennis Prismo we are constantly working to develop new
and innovative products that will provide a true benefit
to road users. We operate a dedicated research and
development facility at our UK manufacturing plant. This
facility measures and controls product quality, works with
customers to ensure optimum performance in all climates
and conditions, and develops new traffic safety solutions.
Our R&D team helps to keep Ennis Prismo at the forefront of
the road safety industry.

Products & Services
Road Markings
Our range of road marking products is at the centre of the Ennis Prismo business.
With over 100 years experience developing this category, we offer an extensive
range of products covering hot applied and preformed thermoplastic, MMA,
waterborne and solvent based paint, plus our patented preformed traffic paint;
Ennis Prismo Paintmark. Application methods for our road marking products
include screed, spray and extrusion by hand and machine.
We are able to cater for all levels of trafficking and climate, and our expert sales
and technical teams will be happy to assist with your requirements.
High Friction Surfacing
We have developed a wide range of hot and cold applied high friction road
surfacings that actively reduce braking distances and decrease the likelihood of
vehicles skidding.
Designed to assist road users in important braking zones, such as approaches
to traffic lights and pedestrian crossings, junctions and slip roads, Ennis Prismo
products help to improve safety where it’s needed most.
Our high friction products also help assist with tyre traction in important areas such
as sharp bends and steep inclines.
Road Studs / Pavement Markers
Stimsonite ® is a name synonymous with high quality road studs. Part of the Ennis
Prismo group, Stimsonite ® studs have been developed and perfected for over 40
years.
Much of the European and North American road networks are defined by
Stimsonite ® studs, renowned for their innovative design and the high standard they
are manufactured to. Stimsonite studs have unique, impact resistant prismatic
lenses meaning that they go on performing even in the toughest environments.
Our range includes surface mounted, milled, snow ploughable & temporary studs.
High Performance Road Markings
As volumes of traffic and vehicle speeds increase, it is becoming ever more
important that road markings can perform to higher levels, especially in dark
and wet conditions. At Ennis Prismo we understand the important role that
road markings play in road safety. We therefore manufacture a range of high
performance road markings designed to make roads safer.
Key features of this range of products include audible warnings for road users as
well as increased wet/night visibility.
Decorative & Coloured Surfacing
Ennis Prismo manufactures Stonegrip; a resin bonded aggregate system with a large
choice of decorative aggregates. Stonegrip provides a durable, natural finish with no loose
stones, ideal for parks, gardens, town centre enhancements and housing developments.
Our durable synthetic surfacing material Imprint ® provides a long-term, reliable alternative
to block paving, and alleviates the problem of plant growth between blocks. In addition,
with a setting time of only one hour, it ensures minimum disruption and reduces costly
road closures.

Products & Services
Surface Safety Solutions
An area in which Ennis Prismo has committed a great deal of resource is the
development of low cost safety solutions. These solutions offer viable, cost saving
alternatives to major changes to road layouts, whilst offering measurable safety
benefits.
Our range of products can be used to warn road users of potentially hazardous
routes as well as accident black spots, through the use of colour and increased
levels of wet/night visibility.
Traffic Products
To complement our unrivalled range of road markings and surfacings, Ennis Prismo
also offers a comprehensive selection of traffic products. This range has been
developed through consultation with our customers, to further meet their road safety
requirements.
The portfolio includes rapid pothole repair products based on cold asphalt technology,
traffic calming solutions, marker posts and salt bins.
We have a dedicated traffic products warehouse facility and support staff meaning that
we can deliver separately, or in conjunction with our markings and surfacings range.
Technical Testing
At Ennis Prismo we are committed to manufacturing and applying high quality
products, and offering our customers true value for money. As part of this
commitment we offer a technical testing service to measure the retro-reflective
performance of road markings.
The service can be used to measure existing markings to identify areas in need of
upgrading, and also on our newly laid lines to demonstrate how our products achieve
(and often surpass) the required specification.
Bridge Jointing & Crack Repair
As well as road markings and surfacings, we also manufacture a range of bituminous
products for bridge jointing and crack sealing. Our bridge jointing products offer a
highly durable and quieter alternative to mechanical joints in nearly all situations.
Boasting quick installation, smooth surfaces, partial or full installation across
carriageways and allowing for movement of +/-25mm, these cost effective products
are an excellent jointing solution. Likewise, Ennis Prismo’s crack repair systems offer
a long term solution to cracked roads, removing the need for costly, time consuming
resurfacing.
Surface Graphics Systems
Digimark enables full colour graphics to be applied to practically all vehicular and
pedestrian ground surfaces, in a durable, anti-slip format.
The Digimark graphic is quick and simple to install, providing an instant, high quality,
visually impacting area. It is also easy to remove/replace and does not damage the
surface to which it was applied. Due to the practically endless choice of images that
can be printed on to Digimark, the product can be used for a range of applications
including advertising, playground markings, floor plans/maps and decorative purposes.
