When Henry VIII seeks the English aristocracy’s approval of his decision to divorce his wife and marry commoner Ann Boleyn, Sir Thomas More fi nds himself caught between the demands of the King and his loyalty to the Catholic Church. Frank Zinneman’s period drama won six Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor for star Paul Scofi eld. Bring your dinner or help yourself to popcorn, snacks, and drinks. Friends: Thanks to each and every one of you who unselfi shly contributed your love, prayers, food, photos, � me and not a few dollars to send off our dear Father Anthony in style. In case you have not heard, we collected in excess of $15,000 towards the automobile fund, and the dona� ons con� nue to come in. If you’ve not yet contributed, you may do so online or by mail to the church offi ce (ATTN: Fran). We’ll wrap it up and issue a fi nal check on Wednesday, June 20. I must off er a special thank you to my wonderful commi� ee, who humbly and du� fully oversaw every aspect of the celebra� on from fes� ve decora� ons to heart-felt gi� s; from solici� ng food both bounteous and delicious to manning (and womaning) the never-popular set-up and clean-up crews. My apprecia� on also goes out to our parish staff who helped us in so many ways, especially our point person Fran Anderson. If you brought a dish, please know contribu� ons were more plen� ful than the � me Christ mul� plied the loaves and fi shes. Therefore it seemed only appropriate that le� overs be entrusted to Sister Libby and her friends at Loaves and Fishes. Rest assured, NOTHING went to waste. They have created MUSIC MINISTRY LIVE. This annual summer ins� tute is a powerful affi rma� on of young people, their love for liturgical music, their passion and faith in God, and their dedica� on to ministry and service to the church. Since 1999, MUSIC MINISTRY ALIVE has touched the lives of over 1500 young people and more than 500 adult leaders. Tickets: $15.00 (in advance through June 29) $18:00 at the door.
