Overview<br />
The <strong>Clock</strong> <strong>House</strong> <strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Practice</strong> opened in February 2007 and is conveniently located on the<br />
edge of Epsom town centre. It is owned and operated by a group of senior Consultant<br />
Surgeons and Physicians who have been practising locally for many years and have taken the<br />
opportunity to develop a new independent practice delivering specialist services from this<br />
attractive and comfortable grade II listed building. The <strong>Clock</strong> <strong>House</strong> <strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Practice</strong> is<br />
recognised by all the major insurance companies and also welcomes self funding patients.<br />
The Consultant Surgeons and Physicians are supported by an experienced nursing and<br />
administration team who provide a high standard of patient focused care.<br />
The building has been commissioned with state of the art equipment and is fully air<br />
conditioned, with lift access to all areas. It has been fitted and decorated with expert advice<br />
from Consultant Microbiologist’s to meet the most stringent standards of infection control.<br />
Outpatient department<br />
The Outpatient department consists of seven modern, fully equipped consulting rooms and a<br />
treatment room, providing the following specialities and services: Cardiology (including<br />
diagnostic testing), Dermatology, Ear, Nose and Throat (including audiology), Gastroenterology,<br />
General Medicine, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Haematology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics,<br />
Pain Management, Pathology, Physiotherapy, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Respiratory<br />
Medicine, Rheumatology, Urology, Ultrasound, X-ray and Vascular Surgery.<br />
Operating theatre<br />
A wide variety of procedures are undertaken under local or topical anaesthetic, or sedation in<br />
the operating theatre for ambulatory patients. Patients undergoing a procedure in the theatre<br />
are recovered in the adjacent recovery area and are then ready to go home within a short<br />
time. These procedures include arthroscopy, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, colposcopy, cystoscopy,<br />
flexible sigmoidoscopy, gastroscopy, hand and foot surgery, knee arthoscopy, skin lesions,<br />
varicose veins and vascetomy.<br />
Radiology<br />
The X-ray department provides a general radiology service including chest, general orthopaedic,<br />
vascular, urology and ultrasound. All x-rays are reported within 24 hours by our team of<br />
experienced Consultant Radiologists. The radiology service is available on a daily basis Monday<br />
to Saturday.<br />
Pathology<br />
A full pathology service is provided to patients on a daily basis by appointment.<br />
Physiotherapy<br />
We have highly trained and experienced Senior Physiotherapists who offer a wide range of<br />
skills in the assessment, management and treatment of patients referred to the <strong>Clock</strong> <strong>House</strong><br />
<strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Practice</strong>. We have specialists in back and shoulder care, lower limb and sports injuries,<br />
a dedicated Hand Unit and a Specialist Women's Health Service.<br />
Direct access service for <strong>GP</strong>’s<br />
We offer a range of direct access services to <strong>GP</strong>’s including:<br />

• Cardiology tests (stress ECG, 24 hour ambulatory ECG, 24 hour ambulatory blood<br />
