The <strong>Lodge</strong><br />
Located in East Jindabyne with fantastic views of Snowy Mountains<br />
<strong>and</strong> Lake Jindabyne. Only a short drive to the <strong>Ski</strong> Tube, Thredbo,<br />
Perisher <strong>and</strong> other ski fields <strong>and</strong> alpine attractions, not to forget<br />
fishing <strong>and</strong> other activities on Lake Jindabyne.<br />
The lodge is a 3 storey Austrian style building of 255.8 square metres<br />
plus a deck of 40.5 square metres.<br />
It comprises:<br />
�� Ground Floor – entry to open plan lounge/dining/kitchen,<br />
drying room, laundry, bathroom, toilet <strong>and</strong> 2 bunk rooms<br />
�� First Floor – stairway access from ground floor to large open<br />
plan lounge/dining/family room, ceramic tiled entry from<br />
deck, kitchen, bathroom with spa <strong>and</strong> toilet <strong>and</strong> 1 bedroom<br />
�� Upper Level – stairway access to hallway, separate toilet,<br />
bathroom <strong>and</strong> 2 bedrooms.<br />
�� Off street parking.<br />
Accommodation is a mixture of double beds <strong>and</strong> bunks.<br />
The lodge is approximately 25 years old. It was purchased in 1982 for<br />
$163,000. In 1996/97 major improvements were made. In 1997 it was<br />
professionally valued for insurance purposes at $265,000. Bathrooms<br />
were renovated in 2002 <strong>and</strong> 2004/5.<br />
Guests of members are welcome (although there are some restrictions<br />
on unaccompanied guests). There are peak periods of dem<strong>and</strong> for<br />
accommodation (all seasons) but the accommodation requirements of<br />
members are almost always met. At least 10 nights accommodation is<br />
guaranteed during the ski season.<br />
The lodge is maintained primarily by its members but work is<br />
contracted for major <strong>and</strong> specialised projects <strong>and</strong> ground<br />
maintenance. Each member is required to attend a working bee<br />
(10/20 hours pa Single/Family) or pay an annual maintenance<br />
levy. Apart from accommodation fees for accommodation used, there<br />
are no other financial obligations.<br />
Access is via a combination door lock, the code for which is provided<br />
at the time of booking.
