bessemer!<br />
We welcomed new mayor Kenneth Gulley, which has sparked hope <strong>and</strong> excitement for<br />
city leaders, bus<strong>in</strong>esses <strong>and</strong> community members. The City of <strong>Bessemer</strong> also welcomed<br />
many new corporations such as the Dollar General, POSCO, Griff<strong>in</strong> Wheel, <strong>and</strong> Norfolk<br />
Southern, <strong>to</strong> name a few. These projects will br<strong>in</strong>g nearly 750 new jobs <strong>to</strong> our area! The<br />
Chamber has been very active as well, recruit<strong>in</strong>g over 80 new members <strong>to</strong> our Chamber<br />
membership! We have also held numerous ribbon cutt<strong>in</strong>g ceremonies, sponsored community<br />
outreach events <strong>and</strong> presented several scholarships <strong>to</strong> area high school students.<br />
