a wall or accent a table. Parisian artisans have created one-of-a-kind<br />

Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.<br />
A sold-out crowd of more than 600 filled the <strong>San</strong> <strong>Francisco</strong> <strong>Design</strong><br />
<strong>Center</strong>'s Galleria on July 19, 2002 to view and bid on 30 one-of-akind<br />
ensembles designed by some of the Bay Area's foremost<br />
fashion designers. The clothes, worn by breast cancer survivors and<br />
other volunteer models, were made of sumptuous fabrics donated by<br />
SFDC showrooms.<br />
The <strong>San</strong> <strong>Francisco</strong> Bay Area Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen<br />
Breast Cancer Foundation is a volunteer organization devoted to<br />
raising funds for breast cancer research, education, screening and<br />
treatment in the nine Bay Area counties. The Susan G. Komen Breast<br />
Cancer Foundation sponsors the Komen Race for the Cure, to be<br />
held in 113 cities in 2002. Since its founding in Dallas in 1982, the<br />
organization has raised more than $300 million to combat breast<br />
