Mandir’s Phone & Fax: 08-357222 E-mail: info@mandirstockholm.com 10 YEAR-2004 ACTIVITIES IN MANDIR 1) New Year 2004 celebrations 1 st January Ramayan path, Bhajan Kirtan and Parvachan followed by Maha-parshad. 2) Lohri function 13 th January Lohri function was celebrated first time in Mandir, Bhajan Kirtan and Parvachan followed delicious Maha-parshad, nearly 100 people attended the function. 3) Maha Shivratri 18 th February Shiv Poojan and Abhhishek (every 3 hrs), Parvachan, Kirtan by devotees and followed by Maha-parshad, about 200 people came to the temple to celebrate Maha Shivratri parv. A number of devotees stayed all the night in the temple for enjoying the day of Bhole Nath. 4) Holi (Color of festival) 07 th March A colorful Holi was celebrated with Gulal and various dry colors from India followed by Parvachan and Kirtan and Maha-parshad. More than 100 people came to the mandir. 5) General body meeting 28 th March New Mandir Samiti was selected for year 2004. There were around 65 members present. 6) Shri Ram Navami 03 rd April Akhand Ramayan was started on 3 rd April and Bhog on 4 th April. Parvachan by Pandit ji, Kirtan and followed by Maha-parshad, More than 300 devotee enjoyed the Shri Ram Navami utsav. 7) 12 th Vishal Bhagvati Jagran 20 th August Hindu Mandir 12 th Vishal Bhagvati Jagran was conducted by one of the most famous party (Vipin Sachdeva) from India. A number of Mata Bhakts stayed overnight to have Mata’s blessing. Two Mata ki chowkies were also arranged at Sh. Toni Lakhwani home and Sh. Mohan Dhingra home. 8) Sant Shri Omanand jee Sant Shri Omanand jee was visited our temple for one week. He has conducted yoga classes during his stay in Mandir. He also preached on Shri Krishan Janamashtami for one hour. 9) Shri Krishan Janamashtami 07 th September Shri Krishan Janam Utsav was enjoyed by more than 400 Ladoo Gopal bhakt. Havan in garden, flag ceremony, Kirtan, drama and religious dance by children, Bal Krishan Abhishek, Parvachan on Bhagvat Gita, Parvachan by Nepali Baba on Bhagvan Krishna. Maha Prashad and special food for fasting devotees was served. 10) Vinayak Chaturthi 18 th September Many South Indian (150) devotees came to the temple for enjoying Vinayak Chaturthi parv. Pandit ji gave parvachan on Vinayak Chaturthi. 11) Akhand Ramayan 16 th October Akhand Ramayan was started on 16 th October and Bhog on 17 th April. We had celebrated first time Ram Leela by adult, bhajan, kirtan and children’s program. People enjoyed Maha Parshadam and Ravan dhahan out side the temple. 13) Karva Chauth 31 st October Singing with candle light (Diya) in thali, Pandit ji explained the significance of Karva Chauth, Prasad & Bhandara was served after having seen Moon at 18.45: More than 100 families enjoyed the festival of Karva Chauth. 14) Deepawali in Mandir 14 th November Maha Lakshmi Puja. Beautiful performance by children, First time Bharat Milap by adult in our Mandir, 56 different verities of Parshad was offered by devotees. After the Prashad, Glittering Fireworks enlightened the sky. Nearly 500 devotees attended the function. 15) Visit of Different Swedish Schools We are very glad to inform to Mandir’s devotees that over 25 (of 2 to 50 persons) Swedish school with over 600 students have visited our temple during 2004. 16) External activities a) Narendra Yamdagni was invited twice to a church in Lund to talk about Hinduism and to Rättvik to talk to a group of 150 youngsters. b) Collection for breakfast project for street children in New Delhi was 2200 Kr. c) Collection for Tsunami victims was partly as clothes (10 cubic meters) and cash collection of about 10000 Kr. Dear Devotees Every Sunday between 13.00 and 16.00 we have regular activities in Mandir followed by Maha Prashad. Every Tuesday between 17.30-19.00, we have Path of Sundar Kandh and Hanuman Chaliesa followed by Aarti and Maha Prashad. We would like to thank all devotees for helping in arranging all activities in Mandir. We would like special thanks for Pandit ji and person staying in temple for well organizing mandir activities.
