with a mixed programme of professional and locally created 

work. It is this combination which gives a unique feel to this 

venue, from introducing the very young to their first arts 

experience to the oldest members of our community, who can 

either come along and participate or sit back and relax. 

Following last year's successful pantomime, CINDERELLA, 

I am proud to be presenting SNOW WHITE starring Sandra 

Dickinson and the return of Simon Fielding who was 

everyone’s favourite Buttons in last year’s Cinderella.

also rated as one of the best joke tellers in the business. The audience 

have a chance to join in by placing a topic in BARRY’S BUCKET before the 

start of the show, which will enable Barry to demonstrate his scintillating 

spontaneity to tell a joke or anecdote about any subject on earth.

PATSY CLINE – The Concert 

Sandy Kelly performs timeless hits including Sweet Dreams, I Fall To

THE NET 

The sequel to ‘RUN FOR YOUR WIFE’ 

- finds our bigamist taxi-driver, John 

Smith, still keeping both his families 

(one in Wimbledon and one in 

Streatham) happy and blissfully 

unaware of each other. However, his 

teenage children-one girl and one boy 

by each wife-have met on the Internet 

and are determined to see each other in 

person, especially as it transpires that 

they have so much in common-same 

surname, taxi-driver dad of the same 

age etc! 

When it dawns on John that they are 

about to meet, he plunges into a hellhole 

of his own making in order to keep 

them apart. His saviour could be 

Stanley, his lodger. Stanley is about to 

go on holiday with his decrepit old 

father, who turns up thinking he is 

already at the guest house. 

The ever-spiralling situation gets 

increasingly out-of-hand as John busts 

a gut to juggle with the truth. This 

comedy promises fun, frolics and 

British farce at its very best.

Set in a small Italian town in the threadbare years just after the war, the 

parish priest and the communist mayor represent the two poles of Italian

defend a value more important than their respective ideologies – their

pupils at New York's legendary High School for Performing Arts.

The Capitol Horsham has been 

successful in its application to the 

National Lottery via the UK Film 

Council for digital projection equipment 

to be installed in Screen 1 of the 

Capitol. We believe the value of this 

award to be in excess of £60,000. 

The UK Film Council has awarded the 

Capitol a state of the art 2K digital 

cinema system in return for a 

commitment to showing more 

specialised film. Nationally cinemas 

applied for 350 systems and the UKFC 


have made 240 awards. The application 

process was highly successful and 

over subscribed. 

The Capitol will become part of the 

UKFC's Digital Screen Network. This is 

750220 

a world first - it has never been done 

before. This new initiative will put the 

UK at the forefront of digital cinema 

and the Capitol is well placed with our

Reservations can be made until 4 days before the performance and 

are held for three days. The Capitol reserves the right to sell any

cinema showings and we also reserve the right to suspend the 

facility of unpaid reservations on popular theatre shows. 

EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS 

The Capitol does not refund any tickets for theatre or cinema, 

however we are happy to exchange theatre tickets if sales have 

been done through the box office - there will be an exchange fee 

of £1 per ticket for this service. Internet purchased tickets cannot 

be exchanged. 

CHILDREN 

Children under three will not be admitted into the auditorium except 

to productions aimed exclusively at children. All children, including 

babies, must be in possession of a valid ticket. 

THE CAPITOL POLICY 

Children, School Parties and those in need of special care, are 

the responsibility of their parents, guardians, teachers or carers, 

who must ensure that appropriate behaviour is followed in the 

auditorium. There is a Duty Manager at all performances who will 

be happy to help with any problems. The Capitol reserves the 

right to ask anyone causing a disturbance, to other patrons or 

staff, to leave the venue. 

The Capitol frequently makes its facilities available for hire to 

local societies and non-professional companies. Whilst we

10. The Ticket holder has a right only to a seat of a value corresponding

12. If a performance is rescheduled, ticket holders will be offered tickets 

to the rescheduled performance, equivalent to the face value of the ticket.

ACCESS FOR ALL 

The Capitol welcomes all patrons and has an extensive range of 

services to ensure you have an enjoyable and comfortable visit. 

Do mention your requirements when you book tickets, and don’t 

hesitate to ask the Duty Manager if there is anything you need on 

arrival. 

PARKING 

There are four reserved parking spaces for Blue Badge holders at 

the side of The Capitol and these are first come, first served. 

There are additional Blue Badge bays in Park House car park and 

these are a short distance from The Capitol. 

GETTING AROUND 

There is level access to the ground floor of The Capitol building 

via a ramp from street level. There is a lift to the first floor for 

Gallery, Screen 1 and Studio venues. 

HEARING IMPAIRED 

Sound enhancement systems are available in the theatre, cinema 

and Studio. The best quality of sound is through our infra red 

headsets which are available to borrow free from the box office. If 

you prefer to use the T switch on your hearing aid, you will need to 

borrow an induction loop aerial, which is worn around the neck. 

ASSISTANCE DOGS 

Assistance Dogs are welcome in all areas of the building. 

If you require our brochure in large print, 

braille or on audio tape, please enquire 

at the box office 

AUDITORIA 

There are a limited number of wheelchair spaces available in each 

venue, please notify the ticket office when booking. A companion 

in a neighbouring seat may be admitted free of charge to theatre 

performances. 

Due to our licensing regulations we are unable to permit the 

transfer from Wheelchairs to theatre seats. 

HOW TO GET TO THE CAPITOL 

By car: The Capitol is situated in North Street, Horsham opposite 

Park House. Pay and Display car parking is available at Park 

House Monday to Saturday 10am - 5pm (evenings and Sunday 

free). 

Further car parking is available at the BT Exchange car park at 

evenings and weekends from which there is an illuminated 

footpath to The Capitol. 

By train: The Capitol is a short walk from Horsham rail station.
