Driver Bio I'm Daniel Alvarez, but they call me The Hammer. I live in Chappells, SC. I'm 19 years old and to say I love racing would be a understatement. It’s My Life! When I was 11, I started attending Mileback Speedway, a local dirt track. It was then that I knew I wanted to drive racecars. At the age of 13, my father and I started building a racecar. Despite what some of my neighbors thought and two years of time, that 13 year old and a man in a wheel chair built a racecar in our garage. And we haven't looked back. I enrolled at Piedmont Technical College at 16 as a dual credit student. I graduated this year with an A.A.S. Degree Majoring in
Driver Bio Automotive Technology. I also enjoy the outdoors and volunteering my time with different programs. I am a 2011 recipient of a scholarship to RACE 101 driver development school. I have aspirations of reaching higher levels of racing and making a successful career out of it.
