Michael Johnson & Co executive coastal IN THE PINK AT PROFESSIONALS DUNCRAIG Organising a fund raiser does not really present a challenge to Professionals Sales Rep Lorna Dade, but organising a fundraiser with a difference presents itself with a chance to have some fun, make a complete fool of your work colleagues and on the serious side, raise an awareness of breast cancer whilst raising funds to assist the cause. In just four hours $800 was raised for the NBCF. Professionals as a group has committed to raising $500,000 nationally per annum as a Diamond partner of the NBCF through individual fund raising events such as this and through their annual Pink Ribbon Breakfast which is being held on October 22nd. Previously, Lorna managed to persuade her male colleagues - George Turvey, Colin Hamer and Ray McCarthy - to wear pink bras but this year they ‘opted’ under duress for fluffy pink Brokeback Mountain style Stetsons. The girls (Rosemary Wynn, Lorna Dade, Jane Turnbull & Louise Gatenby) had no trouble donning their luminous pink wigs and amidst a lot of hilarity they served up delicious sausage sizzles to the local community last Saturday outside their office in Carine Glades Shopping Centre and raised $800 in 4 hours with support from local businesses IGA Carine, Carine Growers Market and Caltex Kingsley. Lorna joined Professionals Michael Johnson & Co, Duncraig after running her own family business in Joondalup and serving on the Executive Committee of the Joondalup Business Association.
