The Young Artists Program of the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance is open by audition to talented
student dancers ages 13-17 of all backgrounds from public and private schools throughout the New York City region.
Audition for new students (prior Graham experience not necessary) - Saturday September 8, 2012
at the Graham Studios from 12:30-2:00 Registration begins at 12:00
Program Length: Full Year divided into two 14-week
Semesters Class Offerings: (All Technique classes have live accompaniment!)
Please note: Weekday classes will be held at our West Village location, 55 Bethune Street (11 th floor).
All Saturday classes will be held at our 316 East 63 rd Street location.
Martha Graham Technique: Tues. (Westbeth location) 5:00-6:30 & Sat. (E 63 rd St. Location) 11:30-1:00
Ballet: Mon. (Westbeth location) 5:00-6:30
Creative Workshop: Sat. (E 63 rd St. Location) 1:00-2:30
Fall 2012 Semester:
Saturday September 15, 2012 - January 15, 2013
Spring 2013 Semester:
Saturday February 2, 2013 – Saturday June 1, 2013

Performing is an integral part of a dancers life and education. We are constantly looking for opportunities for our
Young Artists to perform.

*“All-City Panorama” Project
This project made its debut June 2010 during the Martha Graham Company’s New York Season. We are proud to
have another opportunity to perform this historic Graham piece once again with the Graham Company during this
year’s New York Season (February 2013).
Auditions are held for high school dance students throughout the five borough’s of New York. Enjoy this once in
a lifetime experience! Details to follow.

A commitment to the entire year and full program is highly advised in order to receive the full benefits of the
Program. This consists of enrolling as a “Graham Dancer” or “Dancer” (at least two Graham classes, one Ballet class
(optional) and one Creative Workshop session per week per semester).
Tuition per Semester for Young Artist Program:
Graham Dancer 4 classes per week $920.00 + $25.00 Annual Registration Fee
(2 Graham Classes, 1 Ballet Class and Creative Workshop)
Dancer 3 classes per week $750.00 + $25.00 Annual Registration Fee
(2 Graham Classes and 1 Creative Workshop)
Apprentice 1 Graham Technique and 1 workshop
$700.00 + $25.00 Annual Registration Fee
Trainee 3 3 classes per week $680.00 + $25.00 Annual Registration Fee
(2 Graham Classes and 1 Ballet Class - no workshop)
If you cannot commit to the above categories you can register as a part of Teens@Graham with the following options.
Trainee 2 2 classes per week $480.00 + $25.00 Annual Registration Fee
(2 Technique classes - no Workshop)
Trainee 1 One Technique Class/week $250.00 + $25.00 Annual Registration Fee
Please note: Full Semester tuition is due on or before the first class. Payment plans are available. A minimum of
$125.00 is required by all students to hold your place ($100.00 deposit + $25.00 registration fee non-refundable).
Students enrolled for the full year and pay in full will receive a 5% discount. Students that opt for monthly payment
plan will have a 6% surcharge added. A $10.00 late fee applies to late tuition. Those student’s that are not up to date
on their tuition risk being asked to sit out of class until payment is made and/or will not be eligible to perform.
Students that do not maintain minimum tuition may be asked to leave the program. Please see chart breakdown and
keep for your records.
Scholarships are awarded based upon economic need. Scholarships will be awarded approximately 7-10 days after the first class
of the semester. Financial aid information must be completed and returned to the school on the first day of classes.
