Camp Rivendale
This day camp is designed to provide
recreational opportunities for children and
young adults who have physical and/or
developmental disabilities. Campers 6-21
years, are encouraged to explore areas
of music, dance, drama, arts, sports and
aquatics. Our goal is to contribute to
the physical, mental and social growth
of each camper. Staff and volunteers
foster peer relations, which allow
campers to share affection, support and
companionship. We strive to develop
community support and encourage
attitude changes to refl ect dignity, selfrespect
and independence for people
with disabilities. With our daily activities,
campers will take weekly fi eld trips and
offsite excursions.
Wilderness Community (by approval of
director,) part of CR, is designed for
campers who demonstrate maladaptive
behavior as a primary disability. There
is increased consistency, structure
and support enabling campers to be
successful in a camp experience.

Welcome to this tranquil setting tucked into a wooded niche crowning Cooper
Mountain. Come enjoy the view of the Tualatin Valley and surrounding
mountains. A revitalized country estate on 68 acres, listed on the National
Registry of Historic Places, the Jenkins Estate features a large home dating from
1912 and refurbished stables suitable for corporate meetings or other social
events.

are not always open for tours or exploring on a drop-in

Make a Memory at the
Jenkins Estate
The Jenkins Estate is an ideal location for your
next event. It is secluded, yet accessibile.
The scenic 68-acre Jenkins Estate is only
10 minutes from downtown Beaverton
and includes the Main House, Stable and
Gatehouse. It’s a perfect environment for
a confi dential brainstorming session or a
wedding that will always be remembered.
Event Checklist
• Call to schedule an appointment to tour
the buildings, Monday-Friday, 9 am-3 pm
or Thursday evenings.
• Hold a preferred date on the calendar.
Dates are held for two weeks without
obligation.
• 50 percent of the rental fee secures the
date. If you do not wish to confi rm the
date, please call the offi ce to cancel.
• Refunds will be granted with 90 days
notice, prior to the event. There is a $4
processing fee for all refunds.
• Wedding rehearsals are scheduled on the
Thursday prior to the event date.
Catering
Jenkins Estate has a list of caterers to meet
your needs. Each caterer has extensive
experience with the Jenkins Estate to provide
a memorable meal. No outside caterers or selfcatering
is allowed.

This committee receives public input in regard to the
operation of the Jenkins Estate, Fanno Farmhouse and
Camp Rivendale for park and recreational services.
Each member serves a two-year term.
Visit our Gardens
A 1.6-acre rhododendron garden is the fi rst garden through the iron
gates at the entrance. Perennial borders, wildfl ower meadows and
water features highlight other areas on the grounds. Visit the Herb
Garden Braille section where you will fi nd scented geraniums, lamb
ears, lavender, rosemary, chives and thyme.
Rentals include:
• The choice of Main House or Stable.
• All tables and chairs for building
selected to include: Stable patio or Main
House veranda, and/or Main House
canopy area
• Set up of custom layout to include
linens.
• After-function cleanup to include takedown
of tables and chairs, standard
cleaning, garbage removal. (Clients
are responsible for the removal of all
personal items brought in).
• Choice of three outdoor ceremony sites.
Rental does not include:
• Chairs for outdoor ceremony: Clients
can rent chairs through the Jenkins
Estate at an additional rental fee or
bring in own chairs.
• Catering: Clients must choose a caterer
from the Jenkins Estate list.
• Dishes: A dish package is available in
the Main House only for an additional
fee.
Wedding Rehearsal Dinners at
the Gatehouse
Make your wedding even more special with
an intimate dinner for your wedding party at
the historic Jenkins Estate Gatehouse. Use
one of our caterers to host a dinner for up to
25 guests.

and decadent sweets. Private teas
are scheduled on a date-by-date
basis, includes catering for up to 25
guests, a two-hour event time, linens,

Our Tea Room provides a perfect
setting for all occasions, whether you
are planning a bridal tea, baby shower,
celebrating a special birthday or just
enjoying the company of good friends.
We look forward to personalizing your
special event. A $50 non-refundable
deposit to secure the date is due 30
days prior to the event. Prices subject
to change.
The Fanno Farmhouse
The Fanno Farmhouse is on its
original site, staked in 1847, in the
Greenway/Fanno Park area south of
Hall Boulevard. This delightful facility
is available for small weddings and
business meetings.

The Jenkins Estate offers a wide variety
of audio-visual equipment, including WiFi
connections.
Jenkins Estate offers breakfast, lunch and
afternoon snack options.
Clients are invoiced after the event.
What’s happening on the grounds?
Geocaching is an adventure game utilizing
Global Positioning System (GPS) receivers
to fi nd ‘caches’ of small toys, trinkets,
etc., hidden within containers of all sizes
and shapes (including Tupperware-type
containers, ammo boxes, and Altoids
boxes).
A geocacher goes to a geocaching web
page (www.geocaching.com) and
searches the list of caches in the local
area. Each listed cache has a set of
longitude and latitude coordinates and/
or clues.
The geocachers use their GPS receivers
(and any clues) to fi nd the caches, after
which they sign online logs.
The Jenkins Estate has many visitors
each week looking for “treasure.” There
are 4 known geocaches on the Jenkins
Estate grounds. If you are new to this
activity, our park is a great place to learn.

Park Watch is a community stewardship and
outreach program.
Help us keep the park safe and enjoyable for

vandalism and unauthorized camping. As a
Jenkins Estate Park Watch volunteer you
become a critical link between the Tualatin
Hills Park & Recreation District and park
patrons. Through your association with

Caches are placed with permission from
Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation District
Natural Resources Department. They inventory
all of the geocaches within our Park District.
There is no bushwacking necessary as the
caches are just off main trails.
The park is open from dawn to dusk so please
respect the park hours. Also, there are often
weddings/events held here so please do not
disturb those here for an event.
