Chewing Gum Removal
Chewing gum is an unsightly growing problem. Almost all pedestrianised areas
have become covered with trodden-in blobs of discarded gum.

DEFRA the government body has now classified chewing gum as litter and such all
local authorities have a legal responsibility to remove it.
NCS are specialists in the removal of gum from all surfaces such as tarmac, stone,
and block paving. NCS clean up streets, paths, pedestrian areas and walkways -
removing unsightly gum from any private and public spaces.

Building Cleaning
NCS provides an environmentally friendly system for the
removal of traffic film, general soiling, algae & moss and
mortar stains from the new builds. Using heat and high
pressure, means we rarely need to resort to aggressive
chemicals.
NCS clean facades, warehouses and all types of commercial
buildings. All work is carried out to the highest standards. We
carry out full health and safety risk assessments, safety method
statements, COSHH and noise assessments. These are provided
before work commences. For access we are IPAF trained
operators and can use self propelled articulating booms
(cherry pickers) or scissor lifts depending on the requirement.

Car Park Maintenance
Car park cleaning is a specialised service that is provided by NCS Ltd.
We are experienced in the cleaning of car parks with all surface types, Concrete, tarmac,
polished and so on.
We offer initial one off deep cleans to regular cleaning programmes.
NCS also has a steam cleaning division that will take care of the areas that the scrubber/dryers
can not reach, it will remove stubborn graffiti and chewing gum to ensure the finished results
exceeds your expectations.
We work closely with small and large organisations to ensure complete satisfaction. With the
right combinations of brushes and chemicals so even the worst surfaces can be rejuvenated.
In most cases, work is undertaken outside of working hours to minimise the disruption to the
public and reduce any lost revenue.

Surface Protection
Water is the single most damaging element to masonry and surface areas in our environment. Even in a short period of time,
water can deteriorate and stain unprotected masonry. Rainwater dissolves natural salts within masonry that re-crytalilses
when the surface dries. After repeated wet-dry cycles these salts build up creating internal pressure that weakens the
masonry. Rainwater that contains atmospheric pollutants (acid rain) which further chemically weakens the substrate. These
factors interacting with natural forces e.g. temperature extremes and biological growth, may result in structural and aesthetic
damage, such as :

Crackling, spalling and delaminating of masonry surfaces due to freeze/thaw cycles
Efflorescence
Lime and rust staining
Damp walls
Mildew, moss and lichen growth
Chemical corrosion from acid rain
Reduced thermal insulation
NCS are able to seal masonry and hard surfaces to protect against the elements. PROSOCO Weather Seal products provide
colourless, long lasting protection against aesthetic and structural deterioration. Weather Seal products penetrate deep into
masonry to repel surface water without vapour, which would contribute to deterioration of the treated surface.
• Weather Seal Siloxane PD - A waterborne, clear penetrating permeable water repellant which provides excellent
protection against moisture intrusions and helps prevent efflorescence, leaching, mildew and so on. It is ideal for brick,
tile, cast stone and sandstone.
• Weather Seal Siloxane WD - A waterborne, invisible, alkaline stable, permeable general purpose siloxane water repellant,
which also creates an effective chloride ion screen on horizontal and vertical surfaces. This is ideal for coastal properties.
• Weather Seal Siloxane SL100 - A neat silane treatment providing invisible and permeable water repellency. This is ideal for
terracotta, polished granite and simulated stone.

Graffiti Removal
Graffiti is an ever increasing problem, usually occurring in areas where there are no CCTV cameras
and generally in very public places such as bridges and road sides. We offer a full graffiti removal
and protection service, carried out with the most environmentally friendly, cost effective and
quickest methods. After removal we can paint the surface with a non-visual skin which makes the
graffiti easily removable without damaging the surface, should it ever occur again.
Successful graffiti removal is not simply attacking the surface area with harsh paint removers
and wire brush. This usually results in damage to the stone or brickwork and possible ‘ghosting’
(an outline of the original graffiti). All the NCS teams are fully trained in careful use of selected
chemicals, after which the area is neutralised through washing, leaving no lasting damaging effects.
Racial and Offensive Graffiti
Sometimes racial or offensive graffiti requires emergency removal.
NCS Ltd are pleased to be able to offer an emergency service. The NCS team will be on site *within 24 hours**. In extreme
cases all offensive material can be fully removed within a matter of hours from your call.
In areas where this form of vandalism is regularly carried out, we can offer two approaches to anti-graffiti protection:

1. AGS* Sacrificial Coatings:
•
A product which coats surfaces and washes away easily with hot water, only taking graffiti
with them.
• Sacraficial Coatings make it easier to remove graffiti from affected surfaces.
• Sacraficial Coatings are invisible and do not affect the look of the surface treated.
•
The product being non permanent must then be re-applied to the area which has been
cleaned.
2. AGS* Permanent Coatings:
•

A product which coats and seals surfaces. Paint and ink will not penetrate the coating.
Graffiti can be easily cleaned off using a graffiti remover, leaving the protective coating in
tact.
These are suitable for surfaces suffering from continuous graffiti.
• Permanent Coatings can be clear or coloured to most British standards paints.
•
These permanent coatings can last up to 10/15 years.
Our permanent coatings are approved for the use on London Underground and within the rail
industry. Excellent performance in fire propagation and surface spread of flame tests. (copies
available on request).

Hard Surface Clean
Using the latest steam, pressure or rotary systems, we can clean all pattern imprinted concrete, slab paving, block paving and
hard surface areas. The cleaners will remove ingrained dirt, pluck out unwanted weed growth and bring the surface back to
new.
With specialised detergents and solvents, NCS can remove long standing oil and grease stains and revitalise the colour of the
original surface. All materials are environmentally friendly and are non-harmful to children, pets and the surrounding plant
life.
