The Wayne County Commission Committee on<br />

Ways and Means will hold a public hearings on<br />

1. The 1996-97 Appropriation and Budget<br />

Ordinance. The property tax millage rate<br />

proposed to be levied to support the proposed<br />

budget will be a subject of this hearing.<br />

2. An ordinance to establish guidelines for a<br />

Wayne County Budget Stabilization Fund (also<br />

known as the "Rainy Day Fund"); the Budget<br />

Stabilization Fund is designed to strengthen<br />

Wayne County's long term fiscal health and to<br />

mitigate the effects on the Wayne County Budget<br />

of recessions, natural disasters, and other<br />
