Emily Green Intermediate Trophy Inter 1 Best and Fairest Tayla Hurst Junior Trophy Awarded to a young player from the juniors down who received the most votes overall from the coaches of all teams. Charlotte Veart Umpire of the Year Jay Rodda John Mullins Junior Encouragement Award Awarded to a young player who has improved her netball during the year, to a player who trains hard and is regular to training, never complains and does everything the coach asks of her- Chantel Bonnici Junior Club Person A young person who helps around the club , doesn’t have to be a player. Claire Windle Coach of the Year Kerri Crisanti Club Person of the Year To a person that puts their hand up when needed , usually does more than one job around the club. Wendy McDonnell Errol and Kaye Hood State League Trophy Award given to the State League player who eRROL and Kaye see worthy , a player who trains hard, plays hard, wants to improve , listens gives 100% and is what the Tango Netball Club wants as a SL Player. Ash Taylor Premiers and Grand Finalist’s For Winter Season 2012 13 teams played in the SADNA competition at Golden Grove with 7 of them making the Grand Finals with J3’s coached by Anne Elliott , and Inter 3’s coached by 4
Paul Harmer winning the Grand Final . Congratulations those teams. For Winter Season 2012 18 teams played in the AMND competition at ETSA Park with 6 of them making the finals, 2 making Grand Finals and the Primary 3’s coached by Wendy McDonnell winning the Grand Final. Well done Wendy. Special Mentions for Season 2011 Within the SADNA competition there were some individual awards presented to Tango Players • Khiara Wilkey won the Association Best & Fairest Award for the Primary 2 Division • Chantel Ross won the Association Best & Fairest Award for the Sub Junior 4 Division and for the entire Sub Junior Age Group Congratulations to both Khiara and Chantel Congratulations to Brooke McDonnell and Tayla Wilkey who both made the State 12 & Under Development Team. Congratulations to Madison Krawczyk for making the Catholic School Girls Open Team and Jasmine Tudor who made the Catholic School Girls Under 16 team. Congratulations to Chantelle Bonnici who made the 14 & Under Sparrows Select Side and Jasmine Tudor who made the 16 & Under Sparrows select Team. Annual General Meeting - Wednesday 26th October 2011 The AGM was held at Kings Baptist College on Wednesday 26th October 2011. The Presidents Report, Treasurers Report and Secretary’s Report were all presented. Amendments to the club Constitution was voted on and accepted. Office Bearers and Committee members were elected as follows: President - Steve Windle ( 2 year term) Treasurer - Errol Hood (2 year term) Secretary - Paris Hausler (1 year term) Public Officer - Kaye Hood (1 year term) General committee Members • Simon Finlay • Debbie Branson • Tom Rehmann • Julie Graetz • Russell Palmer • Loretta McCabe • Wendy McDonnell • Kerry Foster • Terese Roocke • Chrissy Cock • Pam Hauser • Peter Badcock All these positions are entirely voluntary with no remuneration whatsoever. Many of the Committee Members give up countless hours every week for the benefit of the club and its members. Senior Trials for Winter 2012 Senior Trials have been held for Winter 2012 and we conducted 3 sessions. 2 Sessions were held at the Kings Baptist Gym and for the 1st time we held a session at Tanunda in the Barossa Valley The selections have been made and the players advised of the squads they are in. We are excited by the introduction of new players to the club and some who have returned after a season away . Furthermore we have some excellent Inter players from Winter 2011 who will be progressing to the Open age group. This will assist in creating some excellent depth at Senior Level and accordingly we will be seeking the highest possible grades for our senior teams. We are hopeful that we will have 6 Senior Teams participating in the Subway Cup and AMND Competitions for Winter 2012. Premier League Reserves Coach The club is pleased to advise that Steve Windle will be the Senior Coach of the Premier League Reserves Team for 2012. Mel Tump will be an Assistant Coach and Club Captain. Considerable work has been done to expand the support staff for Mel in this position and we look forward to a strong season in 2012. 5 5
