Stabiliser links
Problem:
High stress applied on the stabiliser link ball head generates
increased surface pressure and excessive joint play
which requires premature stabiliser link replacement.
Symptom:
› Knocking noise at the front axle
› Insufficient suspension stability
Solution:
› Increasing the ball head diameter of
the stabiliser link
› Reinforcing the link rod
› Higher-grade lubricants
› Wear-resistant boots
› New plastic socket with pioneering
clip-on retaining latches to ensure it fits
snugly in the steel housing
Advantage:
Endurance tests performed at the Hamburg Helmut Schmidt University
yielded impressive performance results: no evidence of joint play after
1,000,000 test cycles. As another special feature the new clip-on plastic
socket is absolutely free of welding burr. Thanks to this unique and
innovative technology MEYLE-HD stabiliser links now last even longer.
Technically advanced MEYLE-HD stabiliser links
can easily be identified thanks to the
top-grade plastic socket with pioneering
clip-on design and the prominently
displayed MEYLE-HD logo.
suspension parts, rubber-metal parts and brake parts we meet the
highest demands.
Technically optimised MEYLE-HD parts (HD meaning heavy-duty)
even outshine their original equipment counterparts. To restate
our quality promise we offer a 4-year warranty on our range of HD
parts for passenger cars and vans and 2 years of warranty on all
other MEYLE components. We offer an exceptionally wide range of
MEYLE-HD products suitable for all current BMW 1, 3, 5 and 7 series
models – for example tie rod ends, control arms and stabiliser links.
Tie rod ends
Problem:
Tie rod ends are wear and tear parts which are subjected to exceptionally
high stress and load levels. As a result, very high surface pressure is applied
on the ball heads which makes them wear out prematurely.
Symptoms:
› Noise emissions and steering play
Solution:
› Increasing the ball head diameter of
the tie rod end from 28mm to 30mm
Advantage:
› Streamlined stock management thanks to universal product design:
MEYLE-HD tie rod ends for BMW models are engineered to fit axial
joints on both ZF and TRW steering gears
› Improved load-carrying capacity yields significantly longer service life
› Wear-resistant boots
› Exclusive MEYLE value-added service:
Control arms
Problem:
High dynamic loads and mechanical stress frequently cause control
arms to wear prematurely. Hydro-filled control arm bushings often fail
to meet long-term durability standards – hydro-fluid leakage occurs.
Symptoms:
› Noise emissions and reduced driving and braking safety
› Destroyed bushing
Solution:
› Replacing the hydro mount with a full-rubber mount
Advantage:
› No leakage thanks to the use of high-grade full-rubber mounts
in MEYLE-HD control arms. Service life is significantly increased
without compromising safety and driving comfort.
