Wyndham World Wide teamed up with ABC Central Florida
member, WELBRO Building Corporation, Helman Hurley
Charvat Peacock/Architects Inc. and interior design firm,
Baskervill, to construct this flagship hotel at the Bonnet Creek
Resorts. In the heart of the Walt Disney World attraction area,
this new facility houses a 13,000 square foot convention
center, 5,000 square foot spa, 400 guest rooms, and a 700car
parking garage. Included with this resort hotel is a large
pool amenities area, with a zero entry pool, bar & grill facilities
and locker rooms.
Just off Buena Vista Drive, at Bonnet Creek, The Wyndham
Resort is just a short drive or bus ride to Epcot, Downtown
Disney, and other themed parks. Surrounded by beautiful
fairways and many of the area's entertainment destinations,
this Mediterranean-styled resort hotel is a wonderland, in
and of itself, for family vacations, business events, wedding
receptions or any other celebratory
events. A terra cotta tile roof,
warm wood tones, and cool stone
provide an inviting Spanish accent
while state-of-the art technology
ensures you have all the modern
conveniences any savvy traveler
could want.
The project, which included
WELBRO's fourth 13-story, posttensioned
concrete building at
the Bonnet Creek Resort complex,
began in 2008 during the economic
crash, went through a replanning
stage by which the resort was built in
three phases. Redesigns of the original
concepts continued throughout the
construction process, challenging
WELBRO Building Corporation to be
ready to "turn on a dime." Wyndham
Hotel Group’s CEO, Eric Danziger, spoke
to HotelNewsNow.com on the matter of
initial delays;
“This was a unique opportunity to
establish a world-class Wyndham hotel
just inside the gates of Walt Disney
World,” he said. “We broke ground on
the project in April 2008 but decided

development. Like everyone
else, we were unsure as
to how long the downturn
would last and what profile
the recovery would take.”
The Bonnet Creek Resort,
however, has turned out to
be a tremendous success
and is Wyndham's "crown
jewel" flagship hotel.
