When heading to South Florida one immediately

clear seas. The Seagate Hotel stays true to
its name as a doorway to the sea in its modernist,
beach-chic design. Just steps from the
beach, the resort incorporates natural sea elements
with soft tans and rich blues including
wall fixtures reminiscent of the sand patterns
on Delray’s beaches. The hotel literally brings
the sea into its design thanks to a 5,000-gallon
lobby aquarium stocked with vibrant reef
fish while Morey eels lurk in the grand hall
aquarium and Lionfish and jellyfish delicately
dance in the aquarium of the hotel’s American
Grille restaurant. Further adorned with palms,
tropical ferns and native flowering plants, this
beach-inspired theme brings guests a sense
of tranquility.
Each of the hotel’s 162 guestrooms feature
tropical mahogany woodwork, marble and
stone bath fixtures, in-room entertainment
systems and private bars. Custom furnishes
etched in white, ecru and espresso brown
decorate each room while custom Egyptian
cotton linens provide a lush sleep experience.
For the ultimate stay, the Seagate’s
Presidential Suites total 2,500 square feet of
living space including an 800 square-foot balcony.
The massive Master bedroom feels even
more grandiose thanks to a staggering cathedral
ceiling and features another private balcony.
Indulge in the master bath’s Rain Forest
shower or platformed bubble-jet tub for your
own in-room spa. For entertaining guests, the
Presidential Suite also houses a luxury parlor,
dining room table, full kitchen and King guest
bedroom.
Should the master bathroom not be enough
for your indulgent tastes, the Seagate’s 8,000
square-foot Spa holds seven individual treatment
rooms and a full wet room. A favorite of
hotel guests and locals alike, the Seagate Spa
sits at street level and features a private elevator
entrance for hotel guests. The spa offers
a Vichy shower, two steam rooms, a Bikram
yoga studio and a manicure and pedicure
suite. The Seagate Spa uses Amala – translated
from Sanskrit as “most pure” - certified
organic skincare products, an incredibly exclusive
line available at only four other spas in
North America.
The Seagate’s on-site restaurant, The Atlantic
Grille, serves upscale modern American
cuisine focusing on locally sourced seafood.
Headed by Executive Chef Adam Gottlieb,
the ocean-to-table restaurant features an
open exhibition kitchen where guests can
interact with Gottlieb and his staff. The Atlantic
Grille’s 245 seats include round private
booths surrounding the main dining area to
offer guests more private dining. Guests can
also dine al fresco on the restaurant’s open-air
terrace or opt for an exclusive dinner in one
of two private dining areas. Glass walls surround
the Wine Room, pairing perfectly with
the custom-designed hand-blown glass chandeliers
suspended above the dining area’s
12-foot stone table capable of holding a party
of 14. The Private Dining Room offers a more
intimate space for 10, perfect for small parties
or business affairs.
While staying at the Seagate Hotel & Spa the

service aboard one of two Mercedes
