Paleobotanical Section
Botanical Society of America
Membership Information
2008
Membership in the Paleobotanical Section of the Botanical Society of America is open to anyone interested in
fossil plants. Members receive the annual Bibliography of American Paleobotany, which is published by the Section.
The Bibliography not only contains the recent research publications of Section members, but also provides a
convenient way of keeping abreast of research interests of Section members. A full listing of current addresses
is provided in the Bibliography. Other publications of the Section are listed on a separate page.
At the annual meeting of the Botanical Society of America, the Paleobotanical Section has an active three day
program that includes contributed papers, a banquet, and frequently symposia, workshops and field trips.
There are four membership categories in the Section: Regular Members, those who are also regular members
of the Botanical Society of America; Affiliate members, those who are members of the Section, but not the
Botanical Society of America; Regular Emeritus members, those who are also emeritus members of the
Botanical Society of America; and Affiliate Emeritus members, those who are emeritus, but not members of
the Botanical Society.
Membership dues are currently
$8.00 for Regular members
$16.00 for Affiliate members
$4.00 for Regular Emeritus members
$8.00 for Affiliate Emeritus members
Dues for the Paleobotanical Section should be sent to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Section and made
payable to the Paleobotanical Section, BSA. The address for the current Secretary-Treasurer is as follows:
Dr. Michael Dunn
