Omnitech® The Omnitech® system is an osteosynthesis system intended mainly for surgery of the forefoot and hand surgery. The Omnitech® range includes four types of screws used in the treatment of Scarf, Akin and Weil osteotomies. They are a unique concept in hallux valgus surgery. The osteotomy screws, P1, Weil, Scarf are compressive conical head screws, ws, a design which ensures locking of the screw on the last thread. Furthermore, the risk of fracture is reduced, the compression more e progressive and ablation made easier. The Omnitech® system screws are made of titanium (TA6V ELI). They are available in sterile or non sterile version. The nail-plate late is pure T60 titanium. tita anium. an Green screw (for Weil osteotomies): 2,0 mm diameter screw, non cannulated and self-drilling. Lengths available from 11 to 14 every 1 mm. Blue screw (for phalangeal osteotomy): 2,3 mm diameter screw, cannulated (k-wires 0,8 mm). The lengths available go from 12 to 28 mm every 2 mm. Yellow screw (for metatarsal osteotomy): 3 mm diameter screw, cannulated (k-wires 0,8 mm). Lengths available from 10 to 40 mm every 2 mm. The inter fragmentary compression is maximum, permitting early return of weight-bearing and« per priman» consolidation. Micro nail-plate (for phalangeal osteotomy): my ): nail-plate and 2,3 mm diameter screws. Lengths hs available from 11 to 14 mm every 1 mm. This allows ws extending indications of phalangeal osteotomy to o bones weakened by previous surgery or serious us demineralisation, or to operations requiring a lot of shortening (bicorticalphalangeal osteotomy). V20 V23 This screw is identical to the one in the O.H system V30 A23 The cannulation of these screws makes their placement easier sier thanks to the K-wire guide. The implants can be used on a permanent t or temporary basis in the following corrections: Yellow screws: first radius s Scarf metatarsal osteotomies Blue screws: first radius phalangeal h l l osteotomies Green screws: Weil type osteotomies Grey screws and micro nail-plate : first radius phalangeal osteotomies Intended for surgery of the forefoot, the Omnitech implants can also have other applications, particularly for hand surgery: Yellow or blue screws: scaphoid fracture, scaphoid pseudoarthrosis. 19
