Ready, Steady, Go! The healthiest nation in the world.
If there’s one thing we shouldn’t do in Finland, it’s belittle ourselves. Stick a Finn between a rock and a hard
place, and we’ll whip out a pickaxe.
We’re already able to tell others that Finns have all been literate since the dawn of time. Or that our health care system is a source of admiration throughout
the world. And a few of our boys aren’t too bad at driving race cars, are they?
Soon we’ll have another good line to tell the person sitting next to us on the aeroplane: “We are the healthiest nation in the world.”
Are we there yet? Well, no, not really. But our health has improved considerably thanks to decades of work.
Pfi zer is one of the hard workers improving people’s health. Even though Pfi zer is the world leader in developing new medicines, we know that health is
more than just medicine. It is also making healthy choices. The time has come to challenge everyone to make these choices. A good place to start is www.
terveinkansa.fi .
Why, you ask? Well, we came up this great idea: What if the Finns were to be the healthiest nation in the world by the year 2015?
It won’t be easy. But it’s not like we’re not up to the challenge. Someone needs to go fi rst.
