A drug and alcohol presentation for 2 nd and 3 rd grade students on October 9, 10 & 26, <strong>2012</strong> as presented by Diane Rowland,<br />

Prevention Services Coordinator of Schuylkill County Drug & Alcohol Program. She will also give future presentations.<br />

The Schuylkill County Drug & Alcohol Program will also provide a 4 th grade curriculum called “Keep A Clear Mind”.<br />

The <strong>District</strong>’s Guidance Plan for grades K-12 as per PA Chapter 339.31.<br />

Acceptance of a donation of a Manitowoc Ice Machine to be used at Viking Stadium. Donation by: Benjamin Olewine, III<br />

of Harrisburg.<br />

The following requests made by the WV Cheerleaders: to allow the Little Vikes Cheerleaders to participate on the sidelines<br />

with them at the football game (Homecoming) on October 5, <strong>2012</strong> and to attend the “Pep Rally in the <strong>Valley</strong>” hosted by<br />

Upper Dauphin High <strong>School</strong> on November 3, <strong>2012</strong>. (Transportation: use of school vehicles.)<br />

A request from the elementary teachers to conduct Afternoon Literature Club meetings from October 17-November 19, <strong>2012</strong><br />

every Monday and Wednesday from 3:15-4:15 PM for students in grades 4-6, who have an A in classroom reading and<br />

scored advanced on their PSSA test in reading. (Parents will provide transportation for their children.) The following<br />

teachers will be facilitating the program: Wendy Babcock and Jennifer Matz. Substitute: Edith Tanner.<br />

A request to begin a 21 st Century Learning Center Program (Cohort 6) at the elementary school for 5 th and 6 th grade students<br />

after school starting on October 1, <strong>2012</strong> and continuing through early May, 2013 (ending date TBD), Monday through<br />

Thursday. (This is a grant-funded program.)<br />

Staff for the 21 st Century After <strong>School</strong> Program as follows: Susan Diegert, (site coordinator) 5 th grade Language Arts, Wendi<br />

Babcock, (assistant site coordinator) 3 rd grade, Sharon Patrick 4 th grade, Jennifer Minnich 3 rd grade, Kristina Miller reading<br />

5 th grade U.S. history, LeAnn Unger 5 th grade math, Matthew Yoder technology-computers and Morgan Williard PSSA<br />

A request from Rev. Benjamin Brown of Reigles Bible Fellowship, Millersburg to allow the sale of tickets (at remaining<br />

home football games) for the upcoming Minstrel Show which will be held at <strong>Williams</strong> <strong>Valley</strong>.<br />

Delinquent personal taxes for Statewide Tax Recovery, Inc. as submitted, approving and disapproving requests.<br />

An action plan dealing with the 2009-10 auditor general’s findings.<br />

Application for payment #3 to Mazzuca Enterprises in the amount of $30,770.75. (Sewer project)<br />

Change Order #A-1 for Mazzuca Enterprises in the amount of $2,1<strong>27</strong>.50. (Item: replacement of meter. Cost will be<br />

deducted from Glace Associates’ final invoice.)<br />

Change Order #A-2 for Mazzuca Enterprises in the amount of $9,900.00 (Item: install concrete pad and fencing for the<br />

portable power supply.)<br />

A rental request as submitted, waiving rental/custodial fees, pending no conflict with the band.<br />

Homebound instruction for a high school student for a period of 4 weeks, beginning 9/26/12. (A doctor’s excuse has been<br />

submitted.) Homebound instructors will be determined.


Requests from HS Teacher Judy Schappe and HS Special Ed Teacher Daniel Scheuer to attend the following out of state<br />

conference at no cost to the district: Educator’s Workshop - Marine Corps. – Paris Island, South Carolina – December 4-7,<br />

<strong>2012</strong>.<br />

Appointing Gerald Stauffenberg as Honorary Head Football Coach for the November 2, <strong>2012</strong> game.<br />
