das Jugendhilfeprojekt Artists for Kids unterstützt.
Der BMW
Kunstadventskalender
Carried out for the fith time in 2012, the charity project of the Munich
journalist and public relations officer Birgitt Wolff combines
economy with visual and performing arts in a unique way. The BMW
Art Advent Calendar is a meeting and communication platform with
a charitable objective. Given ubiquitous crises and increasingly
dominant material values, this form of socially relevant art sponsoring is essential.
As in the previous years, the artworks donated for the project by the 24 artists will
be presented in a large format on house facades in three cities. These huge open air
galleries are to be seen in Germany at Jumeirah/MyZeil in Frankfurt, as well as at BMW
Kurfürstendamm in Berlin and BMW Lenbachplatz in Munich (see picture on this page).
Between December 1st and 24th, each single day a famous mentor will reveal his
The BMW
Art Advent Calendar
or her „own“ window (visitors of the website www.kunstadventskalender.
de can do so, too, by the way).
26 companies and media partners, BMW as the main sponsor, have
committed to this project. This year‘s art advent calendar supports the
child and youth care project Artists for Kids.
