This purchase later was selected as the Champion Great Northern Heifer at the Red River Valley Fair. The dam has been an excellent mother for us, breeding on time and has a great udder. We have one of her 3 calves in production in our herd raising a fancy Ole Oscar heifer calf. The sire of this calf is Badlands PFFR New Design 347 (919825). He is an older proven bull with tremendous maternal and growth traits boasting a 112 yearling weight EPD. We are very pleased with our New Design progeny as we have sold several bulls and have retained several females in our herd. The New Design females are well balanced and good footed. A paternal sister to this calf was our top bred heifer this year. This half sister won her class at the Minnesota State Fair, the Minnesota Jr Red Angus Field day, the Pipestone County fair and was selected as the Reserve Champion heifer at the Red River Valley Fair. ❅
