fundraiser for the school. Any scrap metal may be dropped in the large bin (beside the pavilion). If you have any large
items, please phone the school with details (or email tonyg@tekowhai.school.nz) & we can arrange collection. All
proceeds go back directly to activities/resources that benefit the children ! Please also feel free to let neighbours,
friends, family know. Thank you
Targa Rally The car park was a hive of activity yesterday morning
as the Targa rally cars came through and “burned it up!” $226 was raised by
Targa Rally car donations. Thanks to all of the school for cheering as the cars
went past. Thanks also to Dawn & Chris Taylor for coordinating this event, and
the various parent & student volunteers that assisted.
Student-Led Conferences – next Wed & Thurs This week you should receive a
letter and information sheet regarding upcoming conferences, which outlines the process and confirms your day and
time (for those that returned time request forms last week) If you have not returned the conference request
form, please do so ASAP or ring the office and ask for Kerry. Or email kerryc@tekowhai.school.nz Time
slots are filling fast! Many slots have been filled, so some flexibility will now be required.
All students will be involved in taking their parents/caregivers through their work. Each student will lead the majority of
the conference, detailing skills and achievement, as well as the goals they’ve set to further improve themselves. There
will be an opportunity at the end of the conference to meet with the classroom teacher and discuss work, behaviour,
goals etc.
Please also note that teachers are always available to meet individually with parents at a mutually convenient time to
discuss learning, behaviour/attitude or concerns (please email them directly {emails are on school website})
“Mission Impossible” DVDs
School Production DVDs are available for order. Orders will still be accepted up until the end of next week (2 nd
November). Please put $12 & name in an envelope marked Production DVD. DVDs will only be made for
